Ability to be integrally engaged in writing activity reports in English and supporting the preparation of relevant reports to support CPJ's programmes.
Experience in playing a leading role in MEAL-related activities.

CPJ is pleased to offer one Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer position to enthusiastic candidates with the skills and experience listed below for the ongoing ‘PAHELA: Peace and Harmony Enhancement through Learning and Assessment’ project. The objective of the position is to effectively design and implement systems to track project progress, manage accountability to beneficiaries, and foster learning to improve programs, working closely with project teams to collect data, develop tools, and report on indicators for donor compliance and effective implementation of the project in CPJ. The MEAL Officer will also be required to assist with and perform other relevant operational duties assigned by the leadership.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The MEAL Officer, as a core member of the project team, will have a unique opportunity to contribute to CPJ’s activities and fulfill its agenda. The allocation of responsibilities, as detailed below, presents a fulfilling and growth-oriented aspect of the role:
Technical Capacity (30% Time)
Support to develop and review of the MEAL framework/plan for assigned project/s.
Support and ensure MEAL system, implementation and troubleshooting at the local level, including performance questions, indicators-wise targets, as well as MEAL planning.
Support to conduct evaluation, baseline, midterm review, appraisal study, and strategic planning.
Facilitate design and develop tools for conducting process monitoring along with the partner team, and the project team and share findings.
Support to conduct program review and reflection process at field level with the partner organisation, analyse findings, generate learning and share reports.
Reporting and Data Management (30% Time)
Compile and prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annual reports and relevant Govt office reports of the project as per the prescribed template of the donor.
Collect data from the partner organisation and prepare progress reports.
Make evidence brief or infographic based on outcome assessment, evaluation, and related research findings.
Make field visit reports related to MEAL agendas.
Field Visit & Quality Assurance (30% Time)
Undertake regular field visits to monitor and check the accuracy of data collection and use of tools.
Collect information from the project site and develop relevant case stories with support.
Provide hands-on support to project/partner staff during field visits.
Support to partner/project staff for day-to-day data management and capacity building on MEAL-related agendas.
Communication and Sharing (10% Time)
Participate and contribute to coordination meetings with the larger project team.
Regular sharing of MEAL findings with staff, partners, primary stakeholders, and other appropriate forums, as well as MEAL reports updates to the decision structures for future actions.
Any other duty as may be assigned in consultation with senior management, supervisor and assigned program coordinator/ officer.
