  • Education: Completed a Bachelor’s Degree from a reputed academic institution, preferably in Social Science or other relevant subjects.

  • Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position will be preferred.

  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and the Rohingya dialect will be preferred.

  • Report Writing Skills: Ability to write class observation reports in English.

  • Digital Literacy: Good Command of written and oral English, as well as excellent Microsoft Office and IT skills.



Responsibilities & Context:

The Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) is a multidisciplinary academic institute that promotes global peace and social justice through quality education, research, training, and advocacy. CPJ is committed to identifying and promoting sustainable and inclusive solutions to a wide range of global concerns and issues, including fragility, conflict, and violence. The institute has multiple interventions in Cox’s Bazar under its Refugee Studies Unit (RSU). We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Programme Assistant according to the Terms of Reference.

The Programme Assistant will be responsible for working on the "Language, Images, and Analytical Thinking (LIT)" programme.

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Provide programmatic assistance to the Education officer and to the programme team;

  • Support in recruitment of the facilitators and the learners based on the programme requirement;

  • Maintain regular communication with learners, parents, and local institutions.

  • Support in visiting learning centres in the camp weekly for 3-4 days and identify challenges that volunteers are facing that could impact programme implementation.

  • Monitor the camp activities and report to the programme team

  • Support to organize community engagement activities with parents, stakeholders, and other community members in the camps.

  • Support in organizing training, facilitation, and conducting the workshops and seminars.

  • Ensure logistics, finance, and administrative support for the smooth implementation of programme activities;

  • Ensure reporting and documentation of the project activities and maintain the learner’s database;

  • Liaison with the CiC officials, Upazila Administration, and community educators;

  • Ensure PSEA awareness and related grievance mechanism as per the office policies;    

  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project Lead.
