Experience:
Undergraduate degree in law, criminology, peace and conflict studies, economics, developmental studies, or any related discipline in the social sciences, with good results.
Serving at least two years as a Research Assistant or in a similar position/s at another organisation.
Demonstrate knowledge and ability to conduct qualitative research.
Ability to mentor Research Assistants and Interns.
Ability to be integrally engaged in writing research projects and supporting the preparation of grant applications to support CPJ`s research.
Experience in playing a leading role in conducting desk-based research and/or fieldwork.

CPJ is pleased to offer one Junior Research Associate - Qualitative (JRA) position to emerging researchers with the skills and experience listed below for the ongoing `Project PAHELA: Peace and Harmony Enhancement through Learning and Assessment` project. The JRA will gain substantial research and leadership experience in working with a multidisciplinary academic institution. The objective of the position is to effectively carry out, support, and lead or co-lead research activities relevant to the project in CPJ. The JRA will also be required to assist with logistics and administrative tasks and perform other operational duties assigned by the leadership.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Junior Research Associate, as a core member of CPJ’s Research Team, will have a unique opportunity to contribute to CPJ’s research and fulfil its research agenda. The allocation of responsibilities, as detailed below, presents a fulfilling and growth-oriented aspect of the role:
Conduct literature reviews.
Collect, record, and manage data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Carry out research utilising qualitative research methods and analysis techniques.
Writing high-quality research reports, briefs, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications based on study findings.
Provide administrative and logistical support for formulating and managing research programmes, including preparing work plans and budgets.
Support in writing concept notes and research proposals as required.
Coordinate research activities, meetings, and schedules.
Coordinate and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
Provide general support as a CPJ’s Refugee Studies Unit team member as requested.
Travel in and outside Dhaka, if/when required, for fieldwork and research dissemination.
Any other assignments or duties assigned by CPJ’s Director of Research.
