Job Context:
∎ Position Objective:
∎ The Bangladesh Project Intern will provide cross-cutting technical and operational support (administrative, logistical, programmatic) to the Policy LINK Agricultural Policy Activity Dhaka office.
∎ S/he will be expected to liaise with operations and technical points of contact in the LINK/Bangladesh office, particularly the Administrative & Logistics Coordinator, M&E/GIS Manager, Knowledge & Learning Manager, and Regional Program staff based in Jashore, Khulna, Barishal, and Cox`s Bazar.
∎ S/he will continually reinforce Policy LINK`s agreed-upon core purpose and principles, and ensure all decision-making is rooted in those purpose and principles.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Intern will be responsible for the following for the LINK/Bangladesh office:
∎ Office Administrative & Logistics Support:
∎ Reception/Front Desk Management: Under the guidance of the Administrative & Logistics Assistant, provide coverage as Dhaka office Receptionist and handle routine administrative tasks, to include calls, mail, photocopying, maintaining updated program contact lists, keeping bulletin boards orderly, and electronic communications and routing messages and information to appropriate individuals. Maintain log of office and communication supplies purchases and distributions to staff.
∎ Travel & Logistics: Under the guidance of the Administrative & Logistics Assistant, book and confirm hotel reservations, and make other travel arrangements for project staff and official visitors. Assist consultants visiting the project, providing local information on transportation, lodging and any other accommodation as needed. Under guidance of operations team, contribute to development of new resources such as a Traveler Welcome Pack/Information Note.
∎ Program & Event Management Support:
∎ General Program Support: Participate in Activity Team meetings organized by program staff (Field Program Director, regional program staff, Communications Specialist, M&E/GIS Manager, Knowledge & Learning Manager), carrying out specific tasks that may be assigned to support implementation. This will provide direct exposure and experience of the intern to real-life program complexities and allow them to be a part of these teams managing, leading and implementing activities. Clear SOWs will be developed for the intern, who may be attached to an Activity for a period of 2-4 weeks.
∎ Tasks may include developing and maintaining activity implementation trackers; submitting activity-related Procurement Requisitions; helping develop learning resources and organizing "after action reviews" or post-activity debriefs; assisting with participant data collection and populating report templates; collecting and filing activity documents such as photos, participant lists, and activity reports.
∎ Event Coordination: Update and maintain office calendar of project events and contribute to development and maintenance of event logistics trackers. Take notes during project events & meetings, upon request. When project events/activities are planned, assist with tasks such as organizing stationary items, printing and organizing materials, stuffing folders, calling event participants, preparing sign in sheets, developing Logistics Notes/Guidance for participants, communicating with vendors, and other similar tasks, under the guidance of the Administrative & Logistics Assistant and Regional Program Coordinators.
∎ According to availability, interest, and program needs, the Intern may perform other duties as assigned and appropriate.
∎ DELIVERABLES
∎ Regularly updated Bulletin Board and Activity Calendar, to be reviewed and monitored with supervisor.
∎ Regularly updated program contact directory.
∎ Log of office and communication supplies purchases and distributions to staff; consumables purchase, stock and distribution register.
∎ Organized electronic and hard copy files maintained at the reception desk.
∎ Meeting notes, as applicable.
∎ Documents which may be produced under guidance of team members such as • Traveler Welcome Pack/Information Note, Event Logistics Tracker, Activity Implementation Tracker, learning resources/activity briefs, etc.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 30 years
∎ • Fresh University Graduate from a reputed University interested in USAID project work, with a particular interest in operational and programmatic coordination tasks.
∎ • Good communication skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities.
∎ • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills and can provide an overall positive and friendly atmosphere internally and externally.
∎ • Capacity to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
∎ • Detail oriented with high energy and a passion for results and excellence.
∎ • Knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping, monitoring and reporting could be added advantage.
∎ • Good computer proficiency particularly with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
∎ • Professional fluency in English and Bengali.

Salary:
∎ The intern will receive a monthly stipend of BDT 25000.
