Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct community consultations to understand local needs and preferences.
∎ Foster relationships with Local Government, community members, Stakeholders, including land donors, to ensure their active participation and support.
∎ Oversee the construction of raised plinth cluster villages, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
∎ Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the quality of construction, making adjustments as necessary to maintain high standards.
∎ Organize capacity development training for the Char community, focusing on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Management and livelihoods enhancement.
∎ Act as the main point of contact between the field office and Head Office management, providing regular updates on project progress and challenges.
∎ Work closely with the Field Office Manager to align field activities with project objectives and timelines.
∎ Ensure effective communication and coordination with local government bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
∎ Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all project activities meet required standards.
∎ Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and address any issues that arise.
∎ Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including construction progress, community consultations, and training sessions.
∎ Prepare and submit regular reports to the Field Office Manager and Head Office management.
∎ Documentation of best practices, case studies and lessons learned for future reference.
∎ Capacity Development of community people on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation, Search and Rescue operation by organizing different training and session.
∎ Raised Plinth Cluster Village Construction.
∎ Repair and Maintenance of existing plinth.
∎ Emergency Shelter support to the affected population.
∎ Support to livelihood and rescue items.
∎ Coordination and Liaison with GO and NGOs.
∎ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Social Science or a related field.
∎ Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3 years’ experience in similar filed.
∎ At least 3-5 years of experience in project implementation, preferably in community development and climate resilience infrastructure development project.
∎ Strong technical knowledge of construction practices, especially in flood-prone areas.
∎ Experience in community engagement, capacity building, and vendor management.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
∎ Strong problem-solving abilities.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
∎ Fluency in both written and spoken English and Bengali.
