Job Context:
∎ Job Summary: Prottyashi, A social development organization has been working for the development of disadvantaged population of the country since its establishment and currently is going to implement a project to increase the resilience of the host community people and Rohingya refugees in Cox`s Bazar district by improving food security, reducing disaster vulnerability, and increasing social cohesion in partnership with Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation. Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled- Project Engineer for "Supporting Harmony Improving Nutrition and Environment for the Rohingya and Host Community (SHINE)" project.
∎ Contract Duration: Initially for 01 Year with possibility of further extension depending on the performance and funding availability.
∎ Reporting: Project Engineer will report to Project Manager. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization`s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Scheme finalization as per project outcome.
∎ Make estimate and BOQ as per Design & Drawing.
∎ Prepare drawing as per activity.
∎ Guide volunteers to select beneficiaries.
∎ Site Improvement/Development work.
∎ Cash for work & DRR work as per design & Drawing.
∎ Make weekly, quarterly, and monthly construction progress reports.
∎ Supervise and monitor regular activities of construction work.
∎ Identify problem areas and provide an appropriate solution for all service and Engineering-related issues.
∎ Work closely with the logistics team for ensuring necessary construction work.
∎ Take necessary action from time to time by my responsible Line manager.
∎ Assist project manager with any other task assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 03 years of professional experience in national or international organizations in implementing similar projects.
∎ Knowledge and experience in Cash for Work and DRR activities
Salary:
∎ Tk. 46154 (Monthly)
∎ Monthly Gross Salary will be 46,154 BDT with contributory provident fund, festival bonus and regular traveling and communication bill.
