• Job Context: As our Project Development Manager, you`ll be instrumental in expanding PBK`s impact through innovative donor-funded projects and social business ventures. This is your opportunity to shape the future of rural development in Bangladesh.

• Location: Dhaka HQ (will need to travel outside Dhaka as per project demand/requirements).

Key Responsibilities

Project Development and Fundraising:

• Research and identify potential funding opportunities from national and international donors, development partners, and CSR initiatives

• Develop comprehensive project proposals, concept notes, and budgets aligned with donor requirements

• Create detailed project implementation plans including timelines, resource allocation, and monitoring frameworks

• Lead negotiations with potential donors and partners

• Maintain an updated database of donor priorities, submission deadlines, and funding opportunities

Social Business Development:

• Identify and assess potential social business opportunities aligned with PBK`s mission

• Develop feasibility studies and business plans for proposed social enterprises

• Design sustainable revenue models that balance social impact with financial viability

• Establish partnerships with relevant stakeholders in the social business ecosystem

Proposal Writing & Documentation:

• Write compelling proposals that align with donor requirements and PBK`s mission

• Prepare concept notes, logical frameworks, and results matrices

• Develop detailed project budgets and financial projections

• Create monitoring and evaluation frameworks

• Document success stories and impact assessments

• Prepare regular reports on project development activities

Strategic Planning and Management:

• Contribute to PBK`s overall strategic planning process

• Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and sector developments

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, donor agencies, and development partners

• Organize and participate in networking events and donor meetings

Team Leadership and Coordination:

• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure high-quality proposal development

• Mentor and guide junior team members in proposal writing and project design

• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration for project development

• Organize capacity building sessions for staff on project development and donor compliance

Quality Assurance and Reporting:

• Ensure all proposals meet donor requirements and quality standards

• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks for proposed projects

• Prepare regular reports on project development activities and pipeline status

• Document best practices and lessons learned from successful and unsuccessful proposals

Innovation and Knowledge Management:

• Stay updated on development sector trends and innovative approaches

• Introduce new methodologies and tools for project design and development

• Document and share knowledge within the organization

• Develop case studies of successful projects and social businesses
