Youth for Change Bangladesh Foundation (YFC-BD) is a youth-led NGO dedicated to promoting gender equality, SRHR, youth participation, and protection from violence. Established in 2015 as a Plan International initiative and becoming independent in 2018, YFC-BD is registered under the Department of Youth Development, the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, and the NGO Affairs Bureau (Registration No. 3444).
About Space to Lead (S2L):
Funded by SIDA through Plan International, S2L runs from October 2025 to December 2028 in Dhaka, Barguna, and Sunamganj. The programme aims to strengthen civil society where children and youth—especially girls and young women aged 10–24—can exercise their rights, participate in decision-making, and experience gender equality. It supports youth-led organizations, strengthens SRHR and protection services, enhances civic participation, and integrates gender, safeguarding, climate resilience, and conflict sensitivity.

The Project Coordinator will lead planning, implementation, and coordination of all S2L activities. Responsibilities include guiding project inception, coordination meetings, and phase-out processes, ensuring accountability and alignment with donor and organizational standards. The role supports capacity development of partner staff and youth-led CSOs through assessments, improvement plans, mentoring, and follow-up. The coordinator facilitates the design and delivery of initiatives such as the National Youth Summit, Innovation Labs, advocacy events, and youth-led influencing activities on SRHR, protection, and civic participation.
The coordinator organizes dialogue forums with government officials, policymakers, and community actors to strengthen accountability and promote positive policy shifts. They lead community engagement initiatives, campaigns, and observance of international days to promote gender equality, SRHR, and protection from violence. The role also includes supporting girls and young women through aspiration-building sessions, career pathways initiatives, employer linkages, and workplace follow-ups. The coordinator ensures systematic monitoring, documentation, learning capture, and reporting aligned with global indicators.
The coordinator ensures effective daily operations, planning, and communication with partners, youth-led CSOs, government representatives, and community stakeholders. They provide technical and operational support to staff and youth groups, promote meaningful participation of children and youth—especially girls and young women—and ensure adherence to safeguarding and gender-responsive standards. Additional tasks include preparing reports and documentation, supporting communication materials, representing YFC-BD in external forums, and performing responsibilities assigned by management to ensure successful programme delivery.
Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Administration, or a relevant discipline.
Training or certification in project management, SRHR, GBV, safeguarding, or organizational capacity development is an advantage.
Strong project management, coordination, and planning ability.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills with youth, communities, and partners.
Knowledge of SRHR, gender equality, safeguarding, child protection, and youth empowerment.
Experience in capacity-building with youth-led or civil society groups.
Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with strong problem-solving skills.
Commitment to safe, inclusive, and youth-centered programme environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capacity to plan and evaluate project activities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
