Youth for Change Bangladesh Foundation (YFC-BD) is a youth-led non-government organization working to create positive social change through partnerships with youth, communities, and government institutions. Established in 2015 as a Plan International initiative and becoming independent in 2018, YFC-BD is registered under the Department of Youth Development, the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, and the NGO Affairs Bureau (Registration No. 3444).
About Space to Lead (S2L):
Funded by SIDA through Plan International, the Space to Lead programme (October 2025–December 2028) aims to build a vibrant civil society where children and youth—especially girls and young women aged 10–24—can exercise their rights and experience gender equality. The programme focuses on strengthening youth-led organizations, promoting SRHR, preventing violence, improving referral access, increasing civic participation, and integrating gender, inclusion, conflict sensitivity, and climate resilience.

The officer supports the Project Coordinator in planning, coordinating, and implementing advocacy initiatives across project locations. Responsibilities include organizing community, local, and national-level advocacy events, consultations, policy dialogues, and youth-led campaigns on SRHR, gender equality, child protection, and violence prevention. The role involves strengthening partnerships with government authorities, civil society actors, and community groups to expand youth participation in civic spaces.
The officer conducts capacity assessments of youth-led CSOs, identifies gaps, and supports the development of capacity-building plans. They facilitate trainings, workshops, mentoring sessions, and technical support on leadership, advocacy, safeguarding, gender equality, youth participation, and organizational governance. The officer ensures meaningful engagement of young people—especially girls and young women—by supporting Innovation Labs, Youth Summits, peer networks, and leadership development initiatives, while promoting safe and gender-responsive environments.
The role includes preparing monthly and quarterly work plans, coordinating logistics, maintaining communication with field teams, and ensuring compliance with project guidelines and donor standards. The officer contributes to monitoring and documentation by collecting data, preparing reports, capturing success stories, and supporting donor reporting requirements. They may represent YFC-BD in local meetings and coordination forums, support visibility and communication efforts, and ensure safeguarding, gender equality, and inclusion across all activities. Additional duties may be assigned to support effective project implementation.
The officer assists with routine project operations, including planning, coordination, and follow-up of daily tasks. They maintain communication with staff and partners, support administrative tasks, coordinate logistics for meetings, trainings, and field visits, and ensure proper organization of project files and documents. They provide technical and operational support to youth-led CSOs, ensure adherence to safeguarding and donor guidelines, participate in team meetings and capacity-building sessions, and perform other tasks assigned by the Project Coordinator or management.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Administration, Human Rights, or a related field.
A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Additional training in advocacy, youth leadership, capacity development, SRHR, gender equality, safeguarding, or project management is an asset.
Knowledge of advocacy, youth engagement, and community mobilization.
Ability to design and facilitate trainings and capacity-building sessions.
Basic understanding of SRHR, gender equality, safeguarding, and child protection.
Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Good documentation, reporting, and data-collection abilities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teams and youth-led organizations.
Proficiency in MS Office and online communication tools.
Willingness to travel to project locations when required.
Strong interest in working with youth, particularly girls and young women.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
