Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings
- Conduct regular therapy sessions for children and individuals with diverse needs
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, special educators, and other professionals
- Maintain accurate records of client progress, session notes, and reports
- Educate and guide parents and caregivers on home practice strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
- Monitor and review therapy goals regularly and adjust plans as needed
- Contribute to awareness campaigns and community outreach programs
- Prepare regular progress reports for families, management, and stakeholders
Additional Requirements
- Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools and intervention techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy and patience in working with children and families
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Good documentation and report writing skills
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Passion for humanitarian and social work
- Self-motivated, responsible, and organized
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple caseloads
