Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Coordinator (PC) will be the key person of the project management and reportable to Assistant Director/Focal Person, Shushilan. S/he will responsible for planning and implementing the project. S/he will be responsible for managing the implementation team and for the facilitation of planned activities by the community. S/he will be responsible for preparing budget and taking lead to control all resources under guidance of Focal Person. Key responsibilities of Project Coordinator are-
∎ Plan and implement program as mentioned in the proposal and agreed to implement by the organization
∎ Prepare and review the project proposals, budget and plan.
∎ Track progress and make necessary adjustments periodically.
∎ Ensure team approach for planning and implementation of the project.
∎ Necessary & effective coordination with GO, NGOs, Ups, Donors and relevant stakeholders
∎ Prepare qualitative periodical report & documents of the project.
∎ Update project financial implication and have necessary approval.
∎ Ensure budgetary control and provide justification of budget variance
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly work plan & reports to accomplish the targeted project activities.
∎ Provide necessary guidance to field staffs on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) activities and associated tools & techniques.
∎ Facilitate to develop resilient livelihood and make graduation to the targeted beneficiaries.
∎ Share the update project information and receive necessary feedback/suggestion to implement the project effectively.
∎ Facilitate to build networks with Upazila and District different service providers, MFI, markets and link with communities and local level entrepreneurs.
∎ Staff coordination and management and build capacity for effective implementation of the project.
∎ Provide support to the Focal Person and organization's different cells for smooth implementation of the project.
∎ Initiate appropriate disciplinary measures as and when necessary.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 10 years working experience in project coordination and management. At least 3 years in relevant experience on USAID funded project will be added advantage.
∎ Clear understanding about rural development, Disaster Risk Reduction and graduation program.
∎ Experience on DRR & CCA related projects, WFP funded project or USAID funded project implementation will be added advantage.
∎ Skill in project planning, implementing and budgeting.
∎ Good knowledge on Community Managed DRR.
∎ Clear understanding on Peoples Centered Advocacy.
∎ Has demonstrated abilities in working with project strategic planning.
∎ Has strong team management & coordination skill
∎ Has knowledge on community mobilization activities.
∎ Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
∎ Computer knowledge on MS Office, MS Excel and Power Point.
∎ Have able to drive motorcycle and will have valid driving license.
Salary: Tk. 45000 - 50000 (Monthly)
