Job Context:
∎ We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator based in Dhaka for the "Assessment, Advocacy and Collaborative Planning for Improved Access to Assistive Technology" of Helen Keller Intl. Bangladesh.
∎ SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
∎ The Project Coordinator will work closely with the stakeholders of Department of Social Services(DSS), Ministry of Social Welfare, Dhaka and Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Eye Hospital And Training Institute(SFMEFTI), Gopalgonj to create an enabling environment for Assistive Technology(AT) support and long-term AT investments by generating baseline data, galvanizing political will, and building a foundation for AT integration into national programs and systems under the supervision of the Head of Nutrition & Health of Helen Keller Intl. Bangladesh. The staff will be stationed in Dhaka Office, Helen Keller Intl.
∎ Time required in job to reach effective performance: Probation period - 3 months
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for all scheduled activities implementing on time
∎ Arrangement of all stakeholder meeting on time
∎ Supervision all the surveys conducting on time with quality.
∎ Representation of Helen Keller Intl. on various meetings of NEC and INGO forum and other stakeholders meetings
∎ Conduct monthly meetings with country office responsible colleagues on project updates.
∎ Monthly Reporting of activities to line manager
∎ Coordinate with SFMEHTI and other stakeholders for various activities to ensure smooth functioning of the project
∎ Keeping regular contact with Helen Keller Intl. Research and monitoring team for progress updates of surveys
∎ Coordinate with finance department for summary budget report and provide necessary feedback for any development
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with at least 3 in supervisory capacity;
∎ Documented leadership and project management experience;
∎ Must be able to work with others and manage a large team of people - problem solving will be important;
∎ Must be able to work in both government and private healthcare environments and coordinate and collaborate with government and private medical professionals;
∎ Good communication skills;
∎ Fluency in spoken and written Bangla and English;
∎ Experience with MS Office and should be comfortable with computer databases;
∎ Experience with Monitoring & Evaluation and basic statistical understanding.
∎ Documented history of writing field reports.
