Job Responsibilities:
∎ The role holder will be responsible for managing the project, "Responding to Climate Change and COVID-19 crisis in Bangabandhu Colony, a vulnerable urban slum of Barishal district, Bangladesh" Project on behalf of Christian Aid, a project funded by BRAC established Climate Bridge Fund with support from the government of Germany through KfW in Bangladesh. The incumbent will provide support additional one or two projects based on the need. The role will also represent Christian Aid in meetings and networks and will increase the profile and visibility of Christian Aid's climate change, DRR & humanitarian programme as well as country program. The role will provide technical expertise to Christian Aid and partner organizations on climate induced migration and urban adaptations interventions.
∎ Reporting to the Emergency Coordinator, you will work to deliver effective climate induced migrants' intervention and emergency response programme with high impact, in line with agreed aims and with funds used for designated purposes. You must ensure that project progress tracking and donor reporting as per the designated purposes are in place. Ensure technical assistance to partner that project activities are implemented accordingly. Support Emergency Coordinator and Head of Humanitarian Programme in maintaining relationships and build new with donors, represent CA at times with CBF and GoB and relevant agencies including City Corporations and implementing partners through effective communication
Additional Requirements:
∎ You have experience working with a diverse portfolio of partners/consortiums. You have experience meeting the compliance and reporting requirements of institutional donors. Your expertise on programme management and operation aspects for climate change adaptation, mitigations, WASH, Self-reliance/skills, protection programming, inclusion, gender and accountability. You are competent in the use of various planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning tools and methodologies are able to strengthen partner capacity. You have a sound knowledge of advocacy, campaigning and lobbying and to build networks.
Salary:
∎ BDT 15,93,382 gross per annum + medical reimbursement, provident fund, gratuity, life and medical insurance
