Job Context:
∎ Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 October 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children,youth and women, promoting climate justice. The organization is going to implement a project named `Creating Women Leadership for Resilience in Munda Adibasi (Indigenous) Community ` with the support of OXFAM in Bangladesh .The relevant Project will be implemented in Shyamnagar Upzilla under Satkhira District. BTS is going to recruit the `Project Coordinator ` for the mentioned project,
∎ Project Name : `Creating Women Leadership for Resilience in Munda Adibasi (Indigenous) Community `

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1: Provide technical support to ensure quality implementation of the project activities:
∎ In close collaboration with Donor, play a leading role in developing Detailed Implementation Plan.
∎ Overall Responsible for smooth and effective implementation of the Project activities (Self-Help-Group wise saving activities, climate resilient IGA, construction of Multipurpose Women Education Center (MPWEC), and women awareness activities.
∎ Be responsible for achievement of the project's outputs as measured by the log frame indicators.
∎ Be responsible for the management of project inputs including staff, financial resources, equipment and other logistics, transportation, and communication.
∎ Conduct field visits to monitor the operations of the project team and observe the program application and its benefits towards the target groups.
∎ Ensure required technical assistance to community mobilizer (CM) and community resource persons (SHG) as and when needed for successful implementation of the project.
∎ Act as a custodian for the project work plan and monitor progress in respect to specific deliverables and time frame.
∎ 2: Human Resources Management and capacity building:
∎ Build and nurture effective teamwork in the Upazila and Union level and ensure best relationship with GoB officials as the effective implementation depends on GoB involvement.
∎ Develop job profile of staffs and recruitment of staff and volunteers following organizational policies and procedures.
∎ Supervise effective functioning of staff and conduct staff appraisal.
∎ Assess needs and provides staff's skill development opportunities for ensuring maximum contribution toward achieving project & organizational goals
∎ Organize capacity building initiatives for project staff and SHG leaders to achieve the project outputs. Provide on job training, coaching, mentoring, and counselling of the staff.
∎ Initiate appropriate disciplinary measures to the concerned staff as and when required, in consultation with organizational Focal Person.
∎ 3: Representation, and Communication:
∎ Ensure government participation in key events like workshop and different consultations /meetings etc., as appropriate.
∎ Liaison with relevant government departments (Agriculture/Livestock/Social welfare/Youth department/MOWCA) and local government institute (Union Parishad) for taking support for the betterment of project participants.
∎ Participate in relevant Sub-district, district, national level meetings/workshops/seminars and present the project outcomes.
∎ Organize visit for internal and external visitors.
∎ 4: Market access and linkage development:
∎ Ensure access in market and getting fair prize of their products.
∎ Organize sensitization meeting with market actors (input and output) and market management committee member and other stakeholders.
∎ Organize training for project participants on business development and business management. Introducing project participants with market actors and local stakeholders.

∎ 5: Meeting/training/workshop:
∎ Organize and conduct workshops, trainings, coordination meetings at Upazila/Union level.
∎ Organize project kick-off meeting with ensuring participation all relevant stakeholders in time.
∎ Conduct monthly staff coordination meeting to coordinate upcoming activities and identify and resolve problems
∎ 6: Monitoring and Evaluation
∎ Develop different monitoring tools and formats to sort out the project results through field visits and discussion with project participants.
∎ The project team in following the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP)/ Work Plan and keep it updated in accordance with project activities and timeframes as relevant.
∎ Collect data on a regular basis to measure achievement against the performance indicators.
∎ Share field findings and observations based on field visit in the monthly meeting regularly.
∎ Identify lessons learned and develop case studies to capture qualitative outputs of the project.
∎ 7. Finance, Logistics and Admin:
∎ Monitor all expenditures at field level and act where variances exist.
∎ Arrange procurement of regular items and other day to day usable materials for office.
∎ Ensure the Security and Logistics of the Office.
∎ Ensure that all expenditure incurred in accordance with budget line and budget limit.
∎ Assist Finance & Admin Officer to prepare financial report as per organizational policy.
∎ Take lead to conduct internal & external audit.
∎ Ensure appropriate Financial and Administrative Management in compliance with donor/organizational rules/guideline.
∎ 8.Reporting :
∎ Prepare quality reports (Monthly/half-yearly/yearly) on related activities that is contributing to the donor reports as required.
∎ Prepare reports both Programmatic and Financial and ensure its timely onward transmission.
∎ Collect best practice for making case story/success story, and other necessary documents as required by the project.
∎ 9. Additional responsibilities:
∎ Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
∎ Able to operate virtual platform like Zoom/Skype/Team etc.
∎ Able to take decision in a timely manner, priorities, and multi-task work seamlessly
∎ Excellent data and Report writing skills.
∎ Proven track record of donor management and maintaining donor compliance.
∎ High level of interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to effectively interact with Munda and local communities.
∎ Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
∎ Should be able to handle multiple tasks, manage priorities, and be committed to following organizational objectives, values, principles, and policies.
∎ Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Tenure of Services Contract:
∎ 3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project's lifetime.
∎ Working Experience: Must have at least 3 years of experience in equivalent position of the relevant Filed.
∎ Applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Working experience in Program in a National / International NGO.

∎ Additional Requirements
∎ Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent travel to Field area in the Project Area.
∎ Knowledge in community development, ability to work under timeline, facilitating participatory training, conducting the workshop, brainstorming sessions, focus group discussions, simulation, seminars, meetings, strong interpersonal skills, team-building capacity, problem-solving skills.
∎ Experience to drive Motorcycle and have valid motorcycle driving license.

Salary:
∎ Gross: Taka 65,800/= 2 days weekend Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per `Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy` of Breaking the Silence and the facilities will be applicable also based on available resources in the project budget.
