∎ Maintain close communication with FIVDB team.
∎ Understanding of disaster risk reduction (DRR) principles and practices.
∎ Knowledge of hydro meteorological hazards and their impact on communities.
∎ Familiarity with vulnerability mapping .
∎ Having/Handling smart phones and also have experience to handle the survey tools in it.
∎ Good communication, facilitation and motivational skills.
∎ Understanding on local culture and languages.
∎ Abilities to undertake extensive travel to village/community level.
∎ Having problem solving and prompt decision making capacity.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Community Mobilizer will be responsible for Facilitating & Capacitating Youth Action Group (YAGs)
∎ They will assist the youth, and peer leaders in acquiring necessary climate related skills.
∎ The Community Mobilizer will provide training and technical knowledge on climate-adaptive and risk-informed climate action practices to enhance resilience in communities.
∎ Collaboration with local Disaster Management Committees (CCDMC & WDMCs) will be essential, as the community mobilizer will support the facilitation of vulnerability mapping exercise in urban areas.
∎ They will disseminate Information and Communicate (IEC) materials representing climate actions by the YAGs.
∎ Coordination between communities, Youth group, Ward Disaster Management Committee & City Corporation Disaster Management Committee.
∎ Assisting YAG developing and Implementing Climate Action Plan
∎ Organizing meeting with Youth Action Group (YAG) & Ward Disaster Management Committee.
∎ They will strengthen the capacity building of Youth Action Group & Ward Disaster Management Committee.
∎ Community engagement can be challenging, as building trust with vulnerable households often requires overcoming historical distrust and varying literacy levels..
∎ Unpredictable weather patterns and natural disasters may disrupt planned activities.
∎ Coordination among multiple stakeholders can be complex.
∎ Job Context:
∎ The Community Mobilizer will implement Climate Action initiatives and enhance community awareness on disaster risk management. Key responsibilities include Community Mobilization, Youth Action Group formation, Session planning & conduced providing skills training and supporting Ward Disaster Management Committees (WDMCs) in risk assessments and early warning systems. The role requires strong communication skills and experience in community engagement, aiming to empower vulnerable households and promote sustainable practices.
