Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Technical Officer- SOYEE (Skills and Opportunities for Youth Economic Empowerment) will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the development, implementation, and scaling of youth-focused programs that aim to enhance economic empowerment opportunities through skills development, job creation, and entrepreneurship. This position will work closely with various stakeholders, including local communities, partners, and governments and to ensure the success of SOYEE initiatives in improving the socio-economic outcomes for youth.
∎ The Technical Officer- SOYEE will have the following duties and responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical support and guidance related to SOYEE processes, ensuring operational stability and enhancement across various systems and platforms.
∎ Ensuring in support to design, implementation, and scaling of youth empowerment programs focused on skills development, economic opportunities, and job readiness.
∎ Provide ongoing technical guidance to ensure that the programs meet high standards in areas like curriculum design, capacity building, and monitoring and evaluation.
∎ Work directly with youth beneficiaries to ensure their active participation, inclusion, and successful outcomes from the programs.
∎ Initiate to organize and implement Climate Smart and Sustainable Agriculture Development related training and intervention at the filed.
∎ Collaborate with local and national partners, NGOs, educational institutions, government bodies, and private sector organizations to advance SOYEE goals.
∎ Develop and deliver training modules, workshops, and capacity-building sessions for youth, trainers, and local partners to enhance skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
∎ Oversee and assess the effectiveness of SOYEE programs, using data to make informed decisions and improve program delivery.
∎ Act as an advocate for youth economic empowerment, working with local communities to raise awareness and encourage engagement in programs.
∎ Prepare and submit regular reports, impact assessments, and case studies on the progress and outcomes of SOYEE initiatives.
∎ Assist in identifying best practices and opportunities and replicate to ensure the program sustainability.
∎ Responsible to do any other task assigned by management.
∎ Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program's objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. Serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding & Child protection for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.
