∎ Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, and prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is implementing a project named `BGD, Young Women`s Economic Empowerment` at Satkhira District. The project is implemented by the support of `Save the Children. BTS is going to recruit a `Project Coordinator` for the mentioned project and the position`s desk office at Satkhira Project office.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordination & Communication: 1. Communication and coordination with project management. 2. Coordination, liaison & networking with government representatives, local elected bodies, local committee leaders, business leaders, employers, national and international NGOs and others actors, 3. Regular visit at project sites/location, 6. Assist program staffs in planning, implementing and review of project activities, ensuring adherence to technical standards, learning and good practices.
∎ Project Implementation: 1. Conduct various meeting, workshop, training according to the project plan, 2. Connect young women with Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Bangladesh to expand networking opportunities, 3. form savings group by young women, to support enterprise development needs, such as purchasing a computer or a phone, or raw materials, or paying for a technical course, as well as a safety net in case of emergency, 4. establish an employment hub to provide supports (access to equipment, internet, computers and materials) for young women pursuing self-employment, 5. Conduct training for young women on gender equality and workers' rights, to equip young women with the tools and knowledge they need to navigate discrimination, 6.engage parents, husbands, in-laws, local leaders and the community, to promote change in gender norms, though constructive dialogue about the benefits of training and employment for women, 7. Conduct session on mental health and psychosocial resilience building for participants, local leaders and community, 8. Arrange awareness building session on COVID-19, 9. Conduct youth led initiatives to raise their voice jointly to advocate for equitable opportunities in labor market, against gender-based violence and harmful social norms, 10) Assist to organize advocacy with local government and communities to advocate for the creation of local employment opportunities for women (such as the creation of a youth led training, 11) Conduct bi annual workshop with local government for advocacy on local employment opportunities for young women, 12) Facilitate a youth innovation lab through design thinking and ideation to support the creation and incubation of new businesses that respond to the needs of the community, 13) Provide mentorship support to young women
∎ Finance and Administrative: 1. Maintain compliance, rules and regulations (financial and administrative) of organization, 2. Support to Accounts and Admin section in financial and logistics management, 3. Support to Accounts and Admin section in financial visit/audit.
∎ Monitoring & Evaluation: 1. Assist to develop tools and ensure proper use of those for M&E. 2. Coordination of baseline and final evaluation process, 4. Ensure that all components of the project is monitored and the results are evaluated in line with the indicators
∎ Reporting & Documentation: 1. Assist to prepare monthly, quarterly, half annual, annual and project completion report of the project, 2. Ensure quality of process and learning documentation.
∎ Others: Any other duties that may be assigned by the management of organization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 (Three) months' probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till project's lifetime.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO
∎ Training design and facilitation and Capacity Development of youths
∎ 4 years working experience of field level project management.
∎ Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent travel to field
∎ Knowledge in adolescent and youth capacity development, ability to work under timeline, communication skills, strong partnership development skills, understanding about green activities, facilitating participatory training, conducting workshop, brain storming sessions, focus group discussions, simulation, seminars, meetings, strong interpersonal skills, team building capacity, problem solving skills, good writing and speaking skill in English, computer skills etc.
∎ At least two (2) years' experience to drive Motorcycle and have valid motorcycle driving license
Salary:
∎ Gross : Taka 35,000/=

∎ 2 days weekend
