Job Context:
∎ Breaking the Silence (BTS) is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 October 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is implementing a project named `Strengthen Children Of RMG worker`s Protection and Education rights (SCOPE)` at Mirpur under Dhaka North City Corporation and Savar Upazilla, Dhaka District. The project will be implemented by BTS with the support of `Save the Children` and financed by MANGO. BTS is going to recruit the `Project Coordinator` for the mentioned project and the position`s desk office will be at Dhaka.

∎ Tenure of Services Contract:
∎ 3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project`s lifetime.
∎ Job Location:
∎ Mirpur under Dhaka North City Corporation.
∎ Working Area :
∎ Mirpur under Dhaka North City Corporation and Savar.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Coordinator (PC) will be responsible to carry out overall project implementation at ground level through supportive supervision and monitoring. He is also responsible for human and financial resource management, capacity building of the staff , trouble shooting, documentation, record keeping and reporting.
∎ KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ 1: Project Planning and Implementation:
∎ The project Coordinator is responsible to prepare detailed planning and budgeting of project activities and implement as per plan and ensure the quality of the project activities by providing technical guidance and supervisory support. Particularly the responsibilities are-
∎ Coordinate for conducting baseline and end-line study and guidance for service mapping, vulnerability mapping
∎ Organize and facilitate capacity building training for the project staffs,
∎ Organize and facilitate capacity building events, dialogue, sharing meeting with the government authorities and relevant stakeholders,
∎ Ensure all child protection concerns identified are communicated in timely manner for response to the Case Management Officer and Phycho-social Counsellor,
∎ (e) Represent the organization in the community and to community leaders and actors, collaborating with other sectors,
∎ (f) Assist to recruit community level project staff, (g) Establishing the Day Care Centres, (f) Facilitate the advocacy initiatives,
∎ (g) Assist program staffs in planning, implementing and review of project activities i.e. ECCD, STEM, positive discipline and ensuring adherence to technical standards, learning, and capturing good practices.
∎ h) 50% time given to field for activity monitoring and provide supportive supervision, regularly update line manager on the Project activities and achievements and seek advices.
∎ Establish and activate Community Based Child Protection mechanisms in the community.
∎ J) Arranging different types of meetings/workshop with Government officials and local government.
∎ 2. Financial Management:
∎ Ensure proper and smooth financial management in the project in compliance with organization and Save the Children and policy and standards..
∎ Monitor that, project funds are spending correctly, periodically and as per wok plan.
∎ Ensure inventory management, stock mmangement in the project.
∎ Provide need based support to Finance and Admin Officer.:
∎ 3: Supervision, staff development and management of child protection cases and relevant services
∎ Supervise all staff and other relevant actors on the identification, assessment, documentation, case planning, service provision and referral (to relevant services) and follow-up of at-risk children and families.
∎ Ensure the referral of children for the required services (government and private) through a case management process.
∎ Support outreach and awareness raising activities to identify vulnerable children
∎ Support the development of appropriate child protection information materials.
∎ Oversee to ensure emergency need-based support to the vulnerable children through referral.
∎ Share information on field-level successes and challenges with the supervisor.
∎ Ensure that major challenges are flagged early, and addressed in an appropriate way.
∎ Supportive supervision of the activity of staff as per organogram.
∎ Identify the development area of individual staffs and undertake plan of action and ensure follow-up of development.
∎ Organizing formal/ on the job training, orientation for Capacity building of the staff.Ensure training follow up, feedback, learning & reflection session and also adapt other tools and techniques for developing staff capacity building.
∎ Provide positive feedback on staff performance and project activities when appropriate.
∎ Organize and conduct regular monthly staff meetings.
∎ 4: External and internal coordination and representation
∎ Support on and keep up-to-date a map of existing services/referral directory so that children and families can be referred to. Build collaborative relationships with organisation and service providers at the field level and support all staff to ensure effective referrals,collaboration and coordination.
∎ Ensure internal referral mechanisms (with other sectors) are in place and cases are appropriately managed and followed up when referred
∎ Ensure constant and transparent communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including community members, community leaders and families.
∎ 5: Data management and data protection principles
∎ Ensure that all staff respect confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines.
∎ Ensure that files, registers and computer databases are used in an appropriate and correct manner and ensure Information Sharing and Data Protection Protocol
∎ Ensure accurate case files are completed and that case management forms are utilised appropriately
∎ 6: MEAL and Reporting
∎ Work closely with the MEAL Officer, provide support to develop and implement appropriate monitoring, evaluation and learning systems for child protection interventions, ensure links to report requirements.
∎ Provide timely and quality inputs to meet reporting requirements and timeline.
∎ Support in preparing quality and timely reports for donors and Senior Management with relevant materials.
∎ Ensure good practices are captured, documented and disseminated at project level and thematic programme level.
∎ Prepare monthly , quarterly , half yearly and annual report.
∎ Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Working Experience: Must have at least 3 years of experience in equivalent position of the relevant Filed.
∎ Applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Working experience in Program in a National / International NGO.
∎ Women candidate are encouraged to apply.
∎ Work experience on child protection system and community development at slum community of Dhaka City and Savar areas will give priority in selection process.
∎ Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent travel to Field area in the Project Area.
∎ Knowledge in community development, ability to work under timeline, facilitating participatory training, conducting the workshop, brainstorming sessions, focus group discussions, simulation, seminars, meetings, strong interpersonal skills, team-building capacity, problem-solving skills.
∎ Good writing and speaking skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Must have computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
∎ Experience to drive Motorcycle and have valid motorcycle driving license.

Salary:
∎ Gross: Taka 50,000/=

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 2 days weekend
∎ Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per 'Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy' of Breaking the Silence and the facilities will be applicable also based on available resources in the project budget.
