Job Context:
∎ PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
∎ Reaching Impact, Saturation, and Epidemic Control (RISE) project, Jhpiego has been working at the country level with the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) in collaboration with USAID; the US Embassy in Bangladesh; the Bangladesh Society of Anesthesiologists (BSA); the Bangladesh Society of Critical Care Medicine; and other global stakeholders to provide technical assistance to respond to identify the need of MOHFW at public health facility level for supporting the utilization of US Government donated mechanical ventilators in Bangladesh as well as provision of critical care of COVID-19 patients. RISE is providing support for capacity building of health care providers of forty- five health facilities in the country level to improve the knowledge and skills on emergency and critical care management for ensuring improve services at intensive care unit and high dependency unit.
∎ CONTRACT LENGTH: 30 June 2021 (possibility of extension)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide necessary support to facilitate training, capacity development workshop, assessment etc
∎ Submit different purchase request to the concerned person for approval and make the materials available on time.
∎ Assist supervisor for preparing budget and other program related financial statements for different events and coordinate CO finance, procurement and admin team for smooth operation of the project activities
∎ Coordinate with consultants and other government stakeholders for ensuring effective and efficient implementation of planned and approved activities
∎ Understand the complexities involved in critical care management and to work hard to get the job done
∎ Maintain and update project related all electronic and/or paper files in time and make quick delivery as and when asked by the supervisor
∎ Provide support to the project team to establish skill lab/ other initiatives on capacity development activities
∎ Prepare letter/memos, draft report and other relevant documents as and when assigned by supervisor
∎ Establish and maintain professional relationship/ liaison with donor and other relevant stakeholders for smooth implementation of project activities
∎ Carry out any other tasks assigned by supervisor to support the project activities
Additional Requirements:
∎ 2-3 years' experience of working in health related projects; years of experience can be substituted by educational attainment
∎ Adequate knowledge on Bangladesh healthcare system
∎ Ability to interact skillfully and diplomatically with DGH, DGFP, Donor and other stakeholders
∎ Adequate analytical and problem solving skills; and innovative ways of managing things
∎ Prior experience of organizing training, workshop, orientation etc.
∎ Strong interpersonal communication skills
∎ Ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks
∎ Proficiency in MS Office
∎ Willingness to travel frequently by using public transport
