∎ The Programmer (Developer) reporting to the Project Coordinator will provide an opportunity for designing and implementing data capture system for mobile devices related to the public health communication and scientific research-based environment at icddr,b.
∎ Contract Type and duration: Short Term Contractual Service Agreement;duration will be 6 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design and implement data capture system for mobile devices;
∎ Coordinate with the Data management team for smooth functioning of data management works, Design/review appropriate layout/screen for the questionnaire;
∎ Develop error detection tools;
∎ Finalize the process-flow / programming logic for each problem;
∎ Prepare the detailed technical documentation of the design;
∎ Coding and debugging ;
∎ Set up test and production environment, test developed applications, and perform back-end administrative tasks.
∎ Install the developed program on Smartphone / iPhone/ Android Device for testing purposes;
∎ Conduct trial tests to check for robustness of the program of other programmers and check for accuracy;
∎ Prepare reports highlighting the errors and correct the errors found in order to make error-free programs.
∎ Provide training to the end users in order to develop appropriate and organizational standard software applications for the centre;
∎ Collect feedback from users on existing software for any changes required and make necessary changes;
∎ Provide continuous support for user queries in order to ensure smooth operation and continual improvement of the software application.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have knowledge in developing applications on Android and iOS platforms
∎ Knowledge in developing software in Android and iOS Platform and NoSQL Database
∎ Have knowledge in Python, JAVA, JavaScript, Laravel, PostgreSQL, SQLite;
∎ Very good knowledge and skill of writing computer programs independently;
∎ Ability to solve programming, database, and software-related problems.
∎ Able to manage and work under stress.
∎ Have experience in Machine Learning (ML) / Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms
∎ 3 years of experience in the software development domain in a reputed organization.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 68,735/- (consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances.

∎ Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
