Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years working experience where 7 years minimum in the relevant areas of climate change adaptation and mitigation, environmental management, urban development, etc;
∎ Proven experience in providing management advisory services, hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
∎ Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working in the field level of UN project is essential;
∎ Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working in climate vulnerable areas and with UN project is essential
∎ Work experience in other multi-lateral or international organizations will be of advantage;
∎ Proven track record of project management and project team experience working with government, private sectors, international organization and other key stakeholders in Bangladesh;
∎ Demonstrated track record in the management, monitoring and reporting of similar project, preferably working with government, private sectors, international organization, and other key stakeholders in Bangladesh;
∎ Experience guiding and supervising multi-disciplinary project teams;
∎ Maturity and confidence in dealing with senior members of national institutions;
∎ Sound knowledge on various national policy, strategy and action plan on climate change (e.g. NAPA, BCCSAP, NDC, Delta Plan 2100, etc.) and relevant agreements such as the UNFCCC and its governance architecture and financing mechanisms;
∎ Should have a high degree of familiarity with the UNFCCC and other multi-lateral environmental agreements and its implementation in Bangladesh and at global level;
∎ At least five (5) years of experience in areas of the formulation of legal and policy frameworks related to the implementation of the NAP and NDC;
∎ Good knowledge of the legislative and policy aspects of the adaptation and mitigation framework in Bangladesh.
