The role of a Program Officer at Justice and Care in Bangladesh typically involves supporting and implementing programs aimed at preventing human trafficking, rescuing victims, and facilitating their rehabilitation. Justice and Care works closely with law enforcement, government agencies, and civil society organizations to tackle modern slavery and trafficking, and the Program Officer`s role is critical in ensuring these partnerships are effective.
Job Responsibilities:
Fully understand the process of case Management, relevant victim identification and aftercare support.
Develop and implement Individual Care Plans (ICP) for all victims in coordination with counsellors and other relevant stakeholder.
Provide on-going rehabilitation support including health and hygiene support, life skill and vocational skill development training, psychosocial counselling and other need-based support to survivors in shelter homes including crisis management.
Involve the victim in a reintegration plan for their future and whenever required
Conduct home visit and follow up for CSEC/ internal trafficking victims for the purpose of reintegration, follow up with local police, DSS office and MOHA for relative repatriation order and facilitate.
Nurture and maintain professional relationships with DSS officials and shelter home staff within the MOU.
Conduct follow-up and provide need-based support to the reintegrated survivors in the community.
Develop a healthy rapport with victims within boundaries
Maintain and update Case Management (CM) sheet and generate report thereby
Networking with government officials, NGOs, tribunals and other relevant stakeholder to strengthen organization’s work.
Documentation: Document program activities, preserve evidence (i.e. event report, participant attendance, payment vouchers etc.) and ensure inputs in salesforces.
Ensure that detailed and timely reports are maintained for all Aftercare team activities and meetings - intake sheets, follow up reports, case management documents, survivor case files in shelter home, weekly update of victim status sheet and assist in monthly reports and maintaining of documents.
