Job Context:
∎ Helvetas Bangladesh is looking for a Program Manager- Acquisition and Program Development for Cox`s Bazar based Programme Office. This position is responsible for proposal writing, explore funding opportunities and maintain good networks with donors under the direct supervision of Humanitarian Coordinator.
∎ 6 months national employment contract

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establish a tracking system, and review and identify Request for Proposals (RFPs) by conducting regular researches to explore RFPs and funding opportunities through web based and personal meeting.
∎ Review identified RFPs with HELVETAS Humanitarian Coordinator and Country Director to decide which proposals to submit, developing the project proposals as per the requirement and donor.
∎ Ensures a high-quality submission by following proposal-writing standards with emphasis on readability, consistency, and tone.
∎ Establish proposal development work plan and meets proposal submission deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.
∎ Maintains internal proposal and winning database and share this information with Country Office and with Head Office (accordingly) .
∎ Assists in improving Helvetas's proposal writing abilities by evaluating and if necessary, re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and establishing templates; implementing any necessary changes.
∎ Maintaining networks with donors for early intelligence on funding opportunities.
∎ As and when require, play active role in building consortium with likeminded partners for submission of joint proposal;
∎ Maintain database and close contact with potential consultants who can be engaged in proposal development and field research for proposal development;
∎ Coordination with finance team to develop efficient and smart budget for proposal;

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 5 years' experience with international organizations, international postings.
∎ Working experience in Rohingya Crisis or at Cox's Bazar.
∎ Working knowledge and experience on development of proposals for different donor such as ADB, BMZ, DFID, ECHO, EU, GAC, GiZ, SIDA, UN, USAID, USDOS and Government funding.
∎ Good understanding about different sectors and projects and having good knowledge about project design.
∎ Good understanding and working knowledge of emergency context in the region.
∎ Fluent in English both written and spoken, should be able to demonstrate his/her ability to translate complicated ideas into language easily understood by others.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 180000 - 200000 (Monthly)
∎ BDT. 180,000/- to BDT. 200,000/- including all benefits (PF, Gratuity, Festival Bonus, Insurance and others as per HR policy). The duration of contract is extendable based on fund availability and individual performance of the staff.
