Job Context:
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed Term up to 31 December 2021
∎ Duty Station: Head Office, Dhaka
∎ Job Purpose: S/he will be responsible for ensuring that private sector engagement approaches are promoted by strengthening institutional arrangements, lead the process of establishing a mutually benefiting environment among Concern and relevant private sectors to promote businesses engaging the extreme poor in urban settings; take the lead and ensure that ILUEP programme remains highly successful in creation of employment opportunities for the extreme poor
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensuring that private sector engagement approaches are promoted by strengthening institutional mechanisms.
∎ Leading and ensuring that ILUEP programme remains highly successful in creation of employment opportunities for the extreme poor programme beneficiaries within the private sectors.
∎ Ensuring that the best practices and lessons learned from private sector engagement approaches are prioritized and applied within and outside of the organisation.
∎ Working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to set up piloting and ensure excellence within Concern's work is captured, promoted and disseminated.
∎ Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Emergency Director or the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Specific training on business planning, micro enterprise development, e-commerce and advocacy.
∎ At least 06 years progressively professional work experience of private sector engagement in development programmes.
∎ In-depth knowledge and expertise on: concepts of facilitating micro-enterprise development, business planning, engaging poor producer groups with e-commerce platforms etc.
∎ Proven experience of establishing formal partnership with Govt. NGO and Business sector vocational/ training institutions for enhancing employability of extreme poor that secured jobs and establishing profitable micro-enterprises for the extreme poor.
∎ Experience or working within Urban Context and with Urban Extreme Poor Groups would be an added advantage
Salary:
∎ ANNUAL Gross Salary range BDT 993,972/- to BDT 1,398,612/-
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ PF (contributory), Gratuity, Bonus (02), Group life and Hospitalisation Insurance coverages, OPD coverage, Mobile ceiling as per organisational policy
