Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary:
Responsible for leading the organization’s hybrid infrastructure strategy across on-premises, private, public, and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). The role combines deep technical expertise in virtualization, storage, networking, security, cloud-native technologies, DevOps, and automation with strong leadership and business alignment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Practice Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and drive the strategic roadmap for the Hybrid Cloud & Infrastructure Practice.

  • Develop comprehensive service offerings combining traditional infrastructure with cloud-native and DevOps solutions.

  • Align the practice vision with corporate goals and partner ecosystem strategies.

  • Collaborate with business development and pre-sales teams to define GTM offerings and ensure revenue growth.

  • Build strong alliances with vendors and partners — Microsoft, VMware, Dell, Cisco, Fortinet, Red Hat, and Veeam.

2. Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Oversee end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of integrated infrastructure solutions covering:

A. On-Prem & Virtualization Solutions:

  • VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Proxmox VE, Azure Local Stack

  • Server and storage infrastructure (Dell EMC, HPE, NetApp, Lenovo)

B. Networking & Security Solutions:

  • Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, HPE Aruba, Mikrotik

  • Network segmentation, SD-WAN, and perimeter security

  • Infrastructure security design, including zero-trust, network hardening, and compliance

C. Backup, Recovery & DR:

  • Dell Data Protection Suite, Veeam Backup & Replication, Acronis, and DR orchestration

D. Cloud & Hybrid Integration:

  • Hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN), Azure Arc, identity federation

  • Migration, modernization, and hybrid workload management

E. Cloud-Native & DevOps:

  • Containerization and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

  • CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / Ansible / GitOps

  • Cloud-native observability, scalability, and cost optimization frameworks

F. Linux & Open Source Platforms:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu Server

  • High-availability and clustering for Linux workloads

  • Integration of Linux servers in hybrid and cloud environments

 

3. Technical Governance & Delivery Excellence

  • Establish architecture standards, technical templates, and delivery methodologies.

  • Review and validate solution blueprints, deployment plans, and documentation.

  • Implement governance models for project delivery, ensuring consistency and quality.

  • Conduct technical risk assessments and ensure adherence to security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).

  • Oversee capacity planning, monitoring, and lifecycle management across hybrid environments.

 

4. DevOps, Automation & Infrastructure Security

  • Champion adoption of DevOps culture for infrastructure deployment and management.

  • Lead the implementation of automation frameworks for provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.

  • Define and enforce infrastructure security best practices — identity, access, patching, and vulnerability management.

  • Collaborate with Security Practice for SOC, SIEM, and endpoint defense integrations.

  • Promote security-first architecture principles across all hybrid and cloud solutions.

 

5. Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing technical team across multiple domains.

  • Define learning paths and certification goals for team members (VMware, Azure, AWS, Red Hat, Cisco, Veeam, etc.).

  • Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture.

  • Act as the final escalation point for major delivery and technical issues.

 

6. Partner & Vendor Management

  • Maintain and expand partnerships with key OEMs: Microsoft, Dell, VMware, Cisco, Red Hat, Fortinet, Veeam, AWS, and Google.

  • Leverage partner resources for co-selling, enablement, and technical support.

  • Track certification levels and ensure compliance with partner program requirements.

  • Evaluate emerging infrastructure technologies for practice enhancement.

 

7. Customer & Business Alignment

  • Act as a trusted advisor to CxO-level customers for hybrid cloud modernization and digital transformation.

  • Lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, and technical consulting engagements.

  • Support complex pre-sales activities, RFP responses, and executive presentations.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through governance, feedback loops, and continuous service improvement.

 

8. Performance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage practice P&L, delivery KPIs, utilization rates, and customer success metrics.

  • Track and report certification compliance, project delivery health, and financial performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience.
