Job Responsibilities:
∎ Primary Responsibilities
∎ A. Pharmacy Management
∎ Planning and forecasting medicines, diagnostics, and medical supplies requirements for the health facility.
∎ Prepare and take the approval of the Annual Procurement Plan of medicines, diagnostics, and medical supplies and supervise its implementation.
∎ Dispense medicines to patients according to the prescriber's prescription and ensure that the prescription is aligned with the diagnosis. Discuss with the prescriber in case of any irrationality in the prescription. Maintain proper dosage and form of the medications.
∎ Check prescriptions for drug interactions, medicine duplication, polypharmacy, contra-indications, allergies, suspected misuse, and abuse and follow up with the prescriber for any incomplete prescription.
∎ Provide counseling to patients regarding the proper usage and side effect of prescribed medications with clear instructions on drug dose, strength, frequency, dosage form, and quantity in both written and verbal, and have the patient demonstrate their understanding.
∎ Strongly maintain IPC at the pharmacy and health post. Educate the volunteers working in the Pharmacy about IPC maintenance.
∎ Assisting supervisor with the specification of drugs to be purchased.
∎ Monitoring the consumption of drugs, laboratory reagents, and medical and surgical consumables.
∎ Implement a drug management system including drug flow, consumption reporting, buffer stock, and security stock to avoid stock out.
∎ Ensure daily and weekly consumption reports are timely submitted, cold chain and physical stock monitoring.
∎ Supervising the pharmacy team, ensuring good teamwork, collaboration, and respect for Green Hill- CPI policy and protocols.
∎ Participate in meetings and training organized according to the plan for his/her information and learning purpose.
∎ Participate and/or conduct training about pharmacy stock management and good pharmacy practices.
∎ Ensure that damaged or expired items and batch recalls are well managed.
∎ Ensure follow-up of accurate consumption data encoding and ensure that all pharmacy management tools are updated.
∎ Ensuring storage, stock management and supply processes, as well as hygiene and security procedures, tools, and protocols (controlling pests and rodents), implementing appropriate quality controls and records, in order to ensure good storage conditions (temperatures, humidity and light exposure) and availability of drugs and medical material, according to organization protocols, national regulations and in cooperation with the logistics department.
∎ Coordinating the delivery, reception and recording of different purchase orders, in close coordination with the logistics department, updating stock files and informing line managers on their status (shortfalls, over-stocking, expiry dates), in order to permanently ensure security stock levels and ensure efficient management of stock.
∎ Supervising orders of medical and drug material in order to ensure an efficient and appropriate consumption pattern under budget constraints.
∎ Supervising the supply of drugs to patients, according to medical prescriptions, informing them on consumption patterns and keeping conditions in order to ensure their therapeutic progression.
∎ Collaborating with Medical Team Lead to determine HR processes (sizing, staff shifts, recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and internal/external communication) of the pharmacy team, in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required and to improve their dispensing capabilities.
∎ Recording inventory of all items received in electronic format/Establishment of a robust electronic reporting mechanism of drug & medical equipment consumptions,, informing on unusual patterns as well as forecasting future needs, in order to rationalize the budget and to ensure availability.
∎ Collaborate with the Logistics Department to process Pharmacy Purchase Requests and ongong Inventory and warehouse needs. Ensure proper maintenance of stock register/record book/electronic record (consumption & storage), monitor incoming and outgoing weekly orders followed by weekly and monthly report submission to Supervisor/Line Manager.
∎ B. Assisting in Warehouse Management
∎ Periodic warehouse visits to ensure proper storage conditions, organization of drug and medical supplies to ensure safety, proper storage, efficiency and effectiveness.
∎ Ensure Good Distribution Practices (GDPs) are implemented and healthcare products are handled according to requirements of the product.
∎ Frequent engagement with the Logistics Department/ Participate in discussions on soon-to-be expired, expired and overstock supplies and determine re-distribution and/or donation of medicines & medical supplies.
∎ Lead regular inventory/ spot checks of the warehouse to determine warehouse management conditions and establish plans for better stock management.
∎ Responsible for reporting incidents/ theft/ breakage/ concerning events etc.and notify the MTL immediately.
∎ Prepare Purchase requests, distribution plan, stock withdrawal request, and quality check of requested items and liaise with the procurement team to ensure timely receipt of the product.
∎ Frequent collaboration with the Medical Logistic Officer/ report sharting for effective stock management of the medicine and medical supplies and give technical guidance if required.
∎ C. Other Responsibilities
∎ Maintain open and professional relationships with team members, promote a strong team spirit, and provide guidance to enable staff to perform in their positions successfully.
∎ Provide pharmaceutical support and mentorship to other facility staff, providing on-the-job training where necessary.
∎ Maintain good internal and external communication and coordination (i.e: with other organizations) prepare medical requisition of medicine and medical logistics biweekly.
∎ Attend monthly team meetings with updated information about pharmacy and challenges with possible mitigation strategies.
∎ Follow up on the stock maintenance match with the warehouse and pharmacy.
∎ Maintain good communication and coordination with other health facilities.
∎ Any other responsibility assigned by the Line Manager

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Valid registration with the Pharmacy Council.
∎ At least 3 Years of working experience as a Pharmacist/ Pharmacy in charge in FDMN Camp Health Facility / (Health post or Primary Health Center) is required.
∎ Experience in Inventory and Warehouse management is required.
∎ Excellent knowledge of patient care and drug instruction delivery to patients is vital.
∎ Report writing skill is essential for regular reporting of drug consumption and inventory.
∎ Experience in maintaining a large stock including medicines, medical supplies, and general supplies.
∎ Experience working in humanitarian settings will be prioritized.
∎ Excellent knowledge of Infection Prevention & Control including sterilization.
∎ Experience in providing IPC training.
∎ Good command of English, Chittagongian & Bangla desirable.
∎ Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
∎ Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills: Good communication and coordination skill, planning and execution skill, organizational awareness, technological awareness, and accountability are desirable.
∎ Experience working in a multicultural, low-resource setting.
∎ Ability to establish priorities in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality.

Salary: Tk. 70000 - 75000 (Monthly)
