• Proficiency in MS Office and pattern design software is an advantage.

The Pattern & Sample Maker is responsible for developing accurate patterns, creating product samples and ensuring all designs meet quality, fit and production requirements. The role involves working closely with the Product Development, Production and Quality teams to support the successful development and manufacturing of fiber and related products.

Pattern Development

• Develop and create patterns based on design specifications and technical requirements.

• Review, adjust, and modify patterns to achieve the desired fit, shape, and functionality.

• Maintain and update pattern records for future production use.

• Ensure patterns are production-ready and meet company standards.

  Sample Development

• Create product samples according to approved designs and specifications.

• Evaluate sample quality, construction, and overall appearance.

• Make necessary adjustments based on feedback from management, clients, or product development teams.

• Prepare final approved samples for production reference.

  Product Development Support

• Collaborate with production teams during new product development.

• Assist in translating design concepts into workable production samples.

• Recommend improvements to product construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Quality Assurance

• Inspect samples to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

• Identify defects, inconsistencies, or production challenges and propose corrective actions.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.

Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate records of patterns, samples, revisions, and approvals.

• Prepare technical sheets, measurement specifications, and sample development reports.

• Organize and archive approved patterns and sample references.

  Production Coordination

• Provide technical guidance to production teams regarding pattern interpretation and sample specifications.

• Assist in resolving pattern-related or construction-related production issues.

• Ensure smooth transition from sample approval to bulk production.
