Educational Requirements:
∎ Qualified Paramedic (minimum 18-month course completed) or Medical Assistant or Nursing diploma/certificate.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure the delivery of high quality comprehensive primary healthcare
∎ Screening, and assessment of patients and hear their health-related problems
∎ Provide basic first aid and primary treatment to patients
∎ Identifies survivors of sexual assault and refers them to Psychosocial Counselor and the relative health and legal service providers
∎ Refer patients to the most appropriate medical facility in a timely manner
∎ Delivery of hygiene promotion, health education and patient caregiver counseling for MPWC participants and in coordination with the community outreach team as required
∎ Ensure patient confidentiality is respected, and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner
∎ Ensure accurate recording of information in the MPWC registers, and timely completion of summary reports.
∎ Prepare weekly/monthly work plans and report in coordination with the line manager
∎ Work closely with other Project staff in the same location, such as
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit
∎ Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities, local government agencies and other implementing partners
∎ Ensure all patient consultations are documented and patient records completed.
∎ Submit daily/Weekly/Monthly reports in a timely manner
∎ Promptly reporting concerns or incidents to project management
∎ Provide support to other project staff when they needed.
∎ Liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required
∎ Any other task assigned by the Management from time to time
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years' clinical experience in emergency medical care with priority given to experience in maternal and child healthcare
∎ Registered with Local Paramedic Council or Nursing Council or State Medical Faculty
∎ Ability to understand the cultural and political environment.
∎ Skills to provide sensitive and appropriate medical counselling
∎ Should be a teammate with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
