Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to accurately track production costs.
∎ Analyze production costs including raw materials, labor, overhead, and other expenses.
∎ Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to senior management.
∎ Identify cost variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.
∎ Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
∎ Monitor actual costs against budgeted figures and provide variance analysis.
∎ Work with production teams to understand and predict future cost trends
∎ Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.
∎ Develop and maintain standard costing procedures and ensure compliance
∎ Oversee inventory valuation and control, ensuring accurate cost allocation.
∎ Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
∎ Work with procurement and production teams to manage inventory levels and costs.
∎ Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
∎ Maintain comprehensive documentation of costing methodologies and processes.
∎ Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
