Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) is one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh. MGI is searching for highly motivated, honest, proactive & energetic talent for its workshop. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the procurement of parts and components for the organization`s fleet of vehicles. This includes identifying the required parts, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, managing inventory levels, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source quality vehicle parts and components required for the maintenance and repair of the organization`s fleet.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., maintenance teams) to determine the specific parts needed.

  • Research and evaluate suppliers for reliability, cost, and quality of vehicle parts.

  • Issue purchase orders and negotiate pricing, payment terms (credit/cash) and delivery schedules with suppliers.

  • Maintain optimal stock levels of commonly used parts to prevent delays in vehicle repairs.

  • Conduct regular audits and track the inventory of vehicle parts to avoid shortages or overstocking.

  • Monitor and report on parts usage trends to improve inventory forecasting and purchasing strategies.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to follow up on their due payments.

  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.

  • Evaluate and negotiate new supplier contracts and resolve any issues related to part quality or service delays.

  • Address any issues related to delays in delivery, discrepancies in orders, or defective parts.

  • Troubleshoot and find solutions to ensure vehicle parts are available when needed for repairs and maintenance.

  • Ability to understand whether the required purchase is needed or not.
