Education:
∎ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
∎ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Requirements:

Additional Requirements:
∎ Professional certification in VAT & TAX management is preferred.
∎ Strong knowledge of VAT, TAX laws, and regulations in Bangladesh.
∎ At least 2-3 years of experience in VAT & TAX management.
∎ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
∎ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple locations.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Handle all VAT and TAX-related matters, including calculation, submission, and documentation for the company.
∎ Ensure compliance with VAT and TAX regulations, staying up-to-date with any changes in laws and practices.
∎ Prepare and file VAT returns, TAX returns, and other statutory reports within the deadlines.
∎ Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and external consultants for any VAT or TAX-related inquiries or audits.
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all VAT and TAX documentation.
∎ Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring that all required information is readily available.
∎ Work closely with the finance team to ensure all financial records are in line with regulatory requirements.
∎ Conduct periodic reviews of VAT and TAX compliance and suggest improvements where necessary.
∎ Assist in VAT and TAX planning to optimize the company’s tax position.
∎ Travel between Dhaka and Pabna as required to manage VAT and TAX-related activities at both locations.
∎ 3 days per week at the Dhaka office.
∎ 3 days per week at the factory in Pabna.
∎ Mariners Group BD is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Officer, VAT & TAX to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage VAT and TAX-related activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires the ability to work from our Dhaka office for three days a week and from our factory in Pabna for the remaining three days.
