∎ At least 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organize and facilitate capacity building trainings to waste workers to form cooperatives for business development, organizational management, occupational health, plastic processing, market linkage and entrepreneurship and enterprises, etc.
∎ Organize trainings to waste workers cooperatives for decent jobs, labor rights, alternative SMEs, innovative entrepreneurship development, etc.
∎ Conduct training and orientation to waste workers for plastic waste collection and delivery to processing plants through Community Sensitising and Awareness Campaign.
∎ Organize event to provide demonstration equipment to waste worker cooperatives for transport, sorting and pre-processing of plastic waste (thin plastic – shopping bag).
∎ Organize and conduct sensitisation and coordination meeting with PNGOs and other community based organisation and govt' institutes at local level.
∎ Facilitate training for municipal council members and officials, Govt. officials and other stakeholders for establishing PPP based plastic waste management system, monitoring and regulation.
∎ Identify local markets and establish linkages for end products.
∎ Assist in sampling and laboratory testing of products and environmental samples in different labs in the country.
∎ Organize exposure and learning sharing visit to best practices in waste management
∎ Linkage and coordination meeting with LGI and local institutional consumers/ customers.
∎ Regular Process Monitoring and periodic result tracking.
∎ Develop plastic waste services manual for organising and training workers in the value chain.
∎ Assist in, participate and engage in international and national day observation, etc.
∎ Support to Partner NGO’s for Market promotion of the end product.
∎ Maintain strong liaison and networking with governmental departments, institutes, universities and offices.
∎ Monthly thin plastic - shopping bag waste collection, sales of pyrolysis oil, and Faecal sludge dumping data collection and reporting.
∎ Perform other relevant duties as required for the project as well as the organization.
∎ Facilitate training on business development, organizational management, occupational health, plastic processing, market linkage and entrepreneurship for cooperatives and enterprises.
∎ Facilitate training to plastic waste workers on innovative entrepreneurship development, decent job and labour rights, and alternate SMEs.
∎ Identify local markets and establish linkages for end products for demonstration phase.
∎ Facilitate training for municipal council members and officials, Govt. officials and other stakeholders for establishing PPP based plastic waste management system.
∎ Develop marketing strategy for end products from solid waste, plastic waste, etc.
∎ Organize business planning and business implementation workshop.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experienced in working with waste management, waste to energy, waste to liquid fuel, sanitation sector and Integrated Urban Development Program focusing environmental management, waste management, pollution control, etc.
∎ Experienced in development of PPP based business model for waste management, recycling, waste to energy industry, etc.
∎ Experienced in development of market strategy for products and byproducts.
∎ Experienced in business planning and implementation.
∎ At least 5 years of experience in recycling, waste management, Faecal Sludge Management (FSM), compost plant operation and maintenance, action research on compost, plastic waste recycling, electrical and electronic waste recycling, waste to energy, waste to liquid fuel, quality control, branding, packaging and certification, etc.
∎ Track record on networking, market value chain development on recycling along with wholesalers, retailers and institutional buyers.
∎ Track record on recycling plant operation, micro entrepreneurship development, waste plastic market promotion, participation in waste management fair, conferences, workshops, trainings, etc.
∎ Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and to set priorities.
∎ Strong interpersonal communication skills.
∎ Strong English writing, analytical and communication skills.
∎ Ability to work with a virtual cross-functional team.
∎ Willing to and able to travel independently outside station.
∎ Ability to work with minimum supervision.
∎ Ability to work with high pressure of works.

Salary: Tk. 75000 - 80000 (Monthly)
