∎ • Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples' centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 408 upazilas under 53 districts of Bangladesh covering over 12 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ • The Officer Advocacy, Networking and Migration is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, of training of the Action to Climate Change for Ensuring Sustainable Solutions (ACCESS) Project. The role involves closely engaging with local communities, farmers, and stakeholders to identify agricultural needs and challenges, facilitating community meetings, focus group discussions, and participatory planning sessions. The officer will establish networks, linkages, and collaborations with Union, Upazila, and District-level stakeholders, as well as with like-minded organizations. S/he will coordinate and liaise with relevant government offices, including the Upazila Agriculture Office, Upazila Livestock Office, Upazila Fisheries Office, DPHE, DWD, and other service providers. S/he will ensure high-quality implementation of project activities and timely reporting (monthly, semi-annual, and annual) as per project requirements. Based at the District Office, the Technical Officer (Livelihood) will dedicate approximately 80% of their time to field-based activities, ensuring effective delivery of interventions aligned with project objectives.
∎ Authority: Directly supervise the project's Community Development Officer.

∎ ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the following position.
∎ Job Responsibilities
∎ Training and Capacity Building.
∎ • Develop and deliver training modules on sustainable agricultural practices, climate adaptation techniques, and livelihood diversification.
∎ • Provide hands-on demonstrations and technical support to farmers and community groups.
∎ • Facilitate workshops and capacity-building sessions for local stakeholders, including Union and Upazila Disaster Management Committees (UDMCs/UzDMCs).
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation.
∎ • Monitor the progress and impact of agricultural and livelihood initiatives.
∎ • Collect and analyze data on crop yields, income changes, and community feedback to evaluate intervention effectiveness.
∎ • Prepare detailed reports highlighting project outcomes, challenges, and lessons learned for internal and donor reporting.
∎ Resource Management.
∎ • Coordinate the distribution of agricultural inputs, tools, and resources to beneficiaries.
∎ • Ensure the efficient utilization of project resources, maintaining accurate records of distributions and activities.
∎ Networking and Partnerships.
∎ • Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to leverage additional support and resources.
∎ • Represent ESDO in advocacy and networking forums to promote sustainable agricultural and livelihood practices.
∎ Communication and Advocacy.
∎ • Promote awareness of sustainable agriculture, climate-smart practices, and the benefits of climate adaptation through community outreach and media campaigns.
∎ • Prepare and disseminate educational materials, including brochures, leaflets, and multimedia content, focusing on agricultural best practices and environmental sustainability.
∎ • Advocate for adopting eco-friendly technologies and practices within local communities and encourage active participation in project initiatives.
∎ Reporting and Documentation.
∎ • Document success stories, best practices, and case studies to enhance project learning and advocacy efforts.
∎ • Ensure the timely preparation and submission of project reports (monthly, semi-annual, and annual) per donor and organizational requirements.
∎ Field Engagement.
∎ • Spend approximately 80% of time engaging directly with local communities, farmers, and other stakeholders.
∎ • Supervise and mentor community volunteers to ensure their active involvement in field activities.
∎ • Act as a focal point for addressing challenges faced during field implementation and providing necessary guidance.
