Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Preparing Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Receipt and Payment, Cash Flow Statement, and related notes)
∎ Monitoring of fund management-related activities with the Project Coordinator.
∎ Prepare and maintain spreadsheet and subsidiary records in respect of payment.
∎ Make necessary journal entries and prepare trial balances using accounting software.
∎ Monthly and periodic financial statement preparation for the organization and donor.
∎ Monitor and control IT and VAT deduction at source and deposit accordingly and issue necessary payment certificates to respective suppliers/service providers.
∎ Prepare program/project accounts, financial reports for the donor(s),
∎ Coordination with Internal and External Audit related activities
∎ Check and recommend Payment Vouchers, and cheques and maintain day-to-day banking and fund management.
∎ Ensure all supporting vouchers are attached with payment request before payment.
∎ Responsible for Petty Cash funds and weekly reports for reimbursement
∎ Ensure cash advances are monitored and cleared on a timely basis.
∎ Prepare and update the advance register and notify staff if there is any pending advance to be settled.
∎ Issue receipts for all money received by cash, cheque, and bank transfer.
∎ Prepare bank reconciliations for all accounts.
∎ Preparing daily/weekly reports of bank balances and outstanding cheques.
∎ Ensure all financial vouchers are scanned and archiving of soft copy.
∎ Ensure all hard copy vouchers are archived properly
∎ Promote gender and social equity in all project interventions.
∎ Adhere to conflict-sensitive program management and display conflict-sensitive behavior

∎ PROTTYASHI, a social development organization has been working for the development of disadvantaged population of the country since its establishment with an aim to ensure everyone to live with dignity and prosperity. PROTTYASHI reaches the community with basic needs and supports to save lives and facilitate all the people of the community to live with equal value and priority. PROTTYASHI works for the disadvantaged portion of the population in community addressing their pressing needs following the strategies contextually viable and environmentally sustainable. PROTTYASHI has been actively supporting the refugee population in the humanitarian response in Cox’s Bazar as one of the first responders since August 2017. PROTTYASHI has been vigilantly supporting these crises affected population to accomplish its promised commitment towards humanity and people in distress.
∎ To ensure improved food security for the refugee population helping them to meet nutritional requirement in an environmentally sustainable manner, PROTTYASHI is going to implement “Green skills Development” Activity of WFP Cox’s Bazar Resilience Programme in selected refugee camps. PROTTYASHI invites applications for the vacant position titled- Officer (Accounts & Finance) for the Project and encourages the persons enthusiastic to contribute to the increased resilience of the humanitarian crisis affected refugee population in Bangladesh. This position will be responsible to ensure sound financial management of the planned interventions aligning with the standard financial management practices.
∎ Reporting
∎ The Officer (Accounts & Finance) will report to the Assistant Director (Finance) of PROTTYASHI. S/He has to maintain a functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams, and the organization’s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.
∎ Key Responsibilities:

∎ Salary and benefits: Monthly Gross Salary will be 56,753 BDT with contributory provident fund 2830 BDT, monthly bonus 5417 BDT and regular traveling and communication bill.
