Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work alongside partners in the implementation of Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) and nutrition prevention activities, including in implementation, joint monitoring and supervision and troubleshooting and problem solving where necessary.
∎ Work closely with other sectors and entities to reinforce the multisectoral linkages between nutrition and other sectors.
∎ Develop, alongside the protection teams, a pilot of community led MUAC screening (Mothers Understand and Can Do it).
∎ Assist in developing IYCF standard packages, protocols and methodologies within notably but not limited to the nutrition sector working groups.
∎ Follow the food security situation in its relation to nutrition in this crisis, including coordination with WFP and other actors on the food distributions and other initiatives such as cash-based initiatives for food, targeting, etc.
∎ Report regularly on activities and develop case studies and short stories for M&E and learning purpose.
∎ Prepare input for information, communication and advocacy on the health and nutrition situation of the population and assist in acquiring information to present to donors, other agencies and the government; as well as provide information for funding submissions, appeals or reports.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 6 years of previous relevant work experience in implementing community-based
∎ management of acute malnutrition (CMAM), Infant and young child feeding programmes (IYCF-E and CMAMI and BFHI ), coordinating and implementation of nutrition assessments (SENS/SMART and coverage assessments such SQUEAC/SLEAC).
∎ Computer skills in word processing, Excel and other relevant analysis software (ENA, Nutval and Epi-info).
∎ Fluency in English (spoken and written).
