Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in networking and network security.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, DHCP.

• Practical experience in switching and routing configuration.

• Experience in firewall deployment and security policy configuration.

Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage):

• CCNA / CCNP.

• NSE (Fortinet) / Palo Alto / Sophos certification.

• Certified Network Security professional certifications.

Technical Skills Required:

• VLAN, STP, Trunking, Inter-VLAN routing.

• OSPF, BGP, Static Routing.

• Firewall (NGFW) configuration and troubleshooting.

• VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN).

• WAF and Load Balancer configuration.

• Network monitoring tools and log analysis.

• Basic Linux knowledge (advantage).

Context:

• Betopia Limited is seeking a skilled and result-driven Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise network infrastructure and security solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in switching, routing, wireless networks, and network security technologies including Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Load Balancers, and DDoS Protection solutions.

• The role involves working on enterprise customer environments, project implementation, troubleshooting, optimization, and ongoing support.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Network Infrastructure:

• Design, configure, and maintain Layer 2 & Layer 3 switching environments.

• Implement VLAN, STP, Inter-VLAN routing, and trunking configurations.

• Configure routing protocols (Static, OSPF, BGP).

• Deploy and manage Wireless Access Points and Controllers.

• Design IP addressing schemes and subnetting plans.

• Implement WAN connectivity (MPLS, ISP links, VPN).

• Perform network capacity planning and optimization.

• Troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN performance issues.

2. Network Security:

• Configure and manage Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW).

• Implement and maintain Web Application Firewall (WAF).

• Deploy and monitor DDoS protection mechanisms.

• Configure Load Balancers (Layer 4 & Layer 7).

• Implement IPS/IDS and Network Detection & Response (NDR) solutions.

• Configure and manage VPNs (IPSec / SSL VPN).

• Develop firewall policies, NAT rules, and security controls.

• Conduct security hardening and compliance alignment.

• Analyze logs and respond to network security incidents.

3. Project & Operational Responsibilities:

• Participate in solution design and technical proposal preparation.

• Lead or support implementation projects.

• Prepare technical documentation (HLD, LLD, SOPs).

• Provide L2/L3 support and incident resolution.

• Coordinate with vendors and OEM support teams.

• Ensure SLA compliance and uptime targets.
