Educational Requirements:
∎ A Master's Degree in International relations, Social Sciences, development studies or related field is required.
∎ A Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master's degree
Job Context:
∎ Contract type, level and duration:
∎ Contract type: Individual Contract Agreement (ICA)
∎ Contract level: L-ICA Specialist, 8
∎ Contract duration: Open-ended, subject to organizational requirements, availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years experience in the design, development and/or implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, preferably relevant to programs in humanitarian contexts; Relevant university degrees may substitute for some or all of the required years of experience.
∎ M&E/research design skills;
∎ Prior related experience in the UN system is an asset;
∎ Experience on the monitoring and evaluation in donor funded programs highly desirable;
∎ Experience of implementing donor funded programmes in collaboration with Government ministries and development partners would be an advantage;
∎ Data management skills including the use and maintenance of data bases;
∎ Quantitative and qualitative data analyses skills including the use of software to present data
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required;
∎ Experience in the usage of computers and in office software packages (MS Office 2010 and/or newer versions) is required.
∎ Language
∎ Excellent English and local language skills both verbally and in writing are required.
