Experience:
Experience & Knowledge:
At least 3 Years` experience in project management/ coordinating technical training interventions along with monitoring & evaluation among a larger number of training institutes of various sizes and setups.
Good knowledge of different training methodologies, including competency-based training, assessment (formative, summative), and development of standards, curriculum, and Training Materials.
Experience in development cooperation with donor agencies and I/NGOs is an advantage.
Skills & Abilities:
Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with people at various levels.
Good teamwork skills with the ability to work with different and sometimes conflicting agendas.
Good organization, coordination, and project management skills.
Strong and well-developed analytical skills coupled with experience in writing quality proposals and reports.
Good analytical abilities.
IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities.
Ability to work in and with a diverse team.
Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
Willingness to travel at very short notice.
Job Purpose:
The Monitoring cum Project Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the “Learn Today, Earn Tomorrow” project. The role involves supporting skills training delivery, ensuring quality standards, tracking project progress, and documenting evidence of outcomes to achieve the project’s goal of improving youth employability and sustainable livelihoods.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Implementation & Coordination
Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of project activities in line with the approved work plan.
Support training centres/instructors to deliver quality skills training aligned with BTEB/NSDA standards.
Facilitate communication between project staff, stakeholders, and beneficiaries to ensure smooth implementation.
Organize meetings, workshops, and community mobilization sessions to enhance project outreach.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
Develop and maintain monitoring tools (attendance sheets, progress trackers, job placement records, etc.) for project activities.
Collect, compile, and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to measure training effectiveness and learner outcomes.
Prepare periodic progress reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) with evidence-based analysis for management and donors.
Conduct regular field visits to ensure compliance with project standards, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
Maintain updated records of learners, graduates, and job placement/self-employment statistics.
Capacity Building & Learning
Provide orientation and capacity-building support to instructors, field staff, and partners on monitoring and reporting requirements.
Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices to inform future program design.
Support the development of case studies and communication materials to showcase project impact.
Compliance & Accountability
Ensure project activities comply with donor requirements, organizational policies, and safeguarding/child protection standards.
Maintain effective liaison with local government offices, training institutions, and employers to support project outcomes.
Ensure transparency and accountability mechanisms are in place for learners and community members.
