While formal certifications are not strictly mandatory, candidates holding credentials such as the Google Associate Android Developer Certification (Kotlin/Java), a Laravel Certified Developer credential, or an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Java SE will be given strong preference. We highly value specialized training in modern Android app architecture (such as MVVM), RESTful API design, and Agile methodologies. Above all, we are looking for practical proof of capability; applicants must include links to an active GitHub or GitLab profile showcasing clean, well-structured code, alongside links to live Android applications on the Google Play Store or active backend web projects they have successfully deployed.

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context: We are a dynamic and growing tech team looking for a versatile Software Engineer who excels in both backend and mobile application development. The ideal candidate will take ownership of building and maintaining robust backend architectures using PHP, while also developing seamless native Android applications using Java and Kotlin. You will be collaborating with designers and developers to build high-performance mobile applications and enterprise systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.

• Develop, test, and maintain robust backend RESTful APIs and web services using PHP (frameworks like Laravel are highly preferred) to support mobile applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers and frontend developers, to define, design, and ship new features.

• Work on bug fixing, improving application performance, and optimizing backend database queries.

• Ensure code quality, organization, and automation across both mobile and backend codebases.

• Manage third-party API integrations and ensure secure data handling.
