We are building a live consumer mobile platform used in real homes, connected to cloud-based devices and real-time alerting systems. The mobile apps are already in production and used by paying customers. We are hiring a hands-on mobile developer to take ownership of Android and iOS quality, stability, and ongoing improvement.

This role is focused on maintaining and improving existing apps rather than greenfield work. You will ship fixes, improve performance, handle real-time updates and notifications, and work closely with backend engineers and product leadership.

What you’ll work on
Building and maintaining Android and iOS apps, integrating REST APIs and real-time events, implementing push notifications and background tasks, improving performance and crash rates, fixing bugs efficiently, and preparing builds for App Store and Play Store releases.

Tech environment
React Native (preferred) or native Swift/Kotlin, REST APIs, Firebase (push, analytics, crash reporting), Git-based workflow, CI/CD for mobile builds.

Requirements
5+ years professional mobile development experience, strong understanding of Android and iOS lifecycles, experience shipping production apps, confidence debugging real-world issues, clean and maintainable code practices, ability to work independently and deliver reliably.

Nice to have
Experience with IoT or event-driven apps, real-time notifications, background processing, health or safety-related apps, small startup environments.
