Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma (Vocational) in midwifery, HSC in midwifery
∎ Training/Trade Course: Midwifery

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Midwife Nurse, Midwiving, NGO/ Other Services
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Hospital

Job Responsibilities:
∎ - Assisting the midwife during delivery and antenatal; postnatal and family planning consultations, in order to receive and install the patient, providing them the information required, helping in taking, monitoring and interpreting the parameters, etc.
∎ - Following hygiene and safety protocols at all times, during delivery, consultations, etc., ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of all facilities, material, linen, equipment, and carrying out the sorting and waste disposal.
∎ - Informing patients and their relatives throughout their stay.
∎ - Setting up health education sessions, according to needs.
∎ - Ensuring comfort of bed-ridden patients: washing, installation for eating meals, changing position, etc.
∎ - Referring to the midwife in case of any abnormal change in patient’s health status and other problems occurring.
∎ - Ensuring good transfer and transport of patients between the different services and departments.
∎ - Transporting samples to the laboratory and collect the results.
∎ - Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of the biomedical equipment following user manual and protocols. Alerting the supervisor in case of malfunctioning of any device.
∎ - Collaborate with SGBV focal point on internal and external referrals (legal, protection, psychosocial support).
∎ - Check the general hygiene standards of the department and ensure a monthly deep clean exercise in the department in collaboration with other departments.
∎ - Use PPE personal protective equipment, according the procedures.
∎ - Ensuring the biomed eqiupments in the depatment are clean and fuctional. Report immediatly incase of any problem.
∎ - Daily follow up of TBA activities in the community by accompaning one team on a daily basis and helping in adressing challenging issues the TBAs might face in the community.i.e. answering questions in regard to MSF services.
∎ - Assist midwives in monitoring patients in Observation and reporting in change from normal that is noted. Participate in outreach activities and follow up of TBA activities in the community.
∎ - Perform MR to all patients who come to the facility and request for the service whenever there is a gap of midwive in the facility.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Essential literacy and midwifery training
∎ Essential fluent in Bangla and Chittagong dialect, English language desirable.
