Job Context:
∎ Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, and prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is implementing a project named `Sports for Protection, Resilience and Transformation (SPiRIT) Project` at Dhaka. The project is implemented by the support of `Tdh Foundation`. BTS is going to recruit a `MHPSS Officer` for the mentioned project and the position`s desk office at Dhaka field office.

∎ Authority: Directly accountable to Project Manager (PM).
∎ Contact/Key relations : Close contact with Project Officer, Focal Person & donor. Also

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall psychosocial intervention design (Both Structural and Non-Structural) and implementation within the Project.
∎ Designing of training module on MHPSS, Recreational activities (Indoor and outdoor) with support of technical team of Tdh.
∎ Provide training on mental health and psycho social support (MHPSS) for the project staffs, community facilitator's capacity building training, youth and adolescent as per the Organization and Project need.
∎ Technical guidance to the project team for any mental health case management,
∎ Development/collection of MHPSS counseling IEC/SBCC, audio/video materials and orient to the field team for their use properly,
∎ Establish referral linkage with respective government sectors for MHPSS cases,
∎ Maintain effective communication, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills at community level, staffs level as well as stakeholders' level.
∎ Advocacy with government sectors and community stakeholders to gain support for the project and sustainability of the works.
∎ Develop girls club, multi-purpose child and adolescent center. Work with adolescents and youth empowerment as well as different age groups, conduct youth and adolescent session, psychosocial counselling session etc.
∎ Implement and process facilitated with different sports activities and establish social inclusion, social coherence and psychosocial wellbeing.
∎ Working with internally displaced population (IDP) and youth effect of climate vulnerability. Engage child and adolescent on MHPSS activities.
∎ Identify youth champion, change maker and will have to conduct Life-Skill, Leadership and limitless potential (LLLP) training.
∎ Organize different national and international day observation ceremony also manage earth-work or maintenance of sports ground.
∎ Follow organizational safeguarding policy like Child Protection policy, Gender policy, child and youth policy, zero tolerance policy, IT policies at Organization and beneficiary level.
∎ Document base practices, manage different web platform (Facebook Page, WhatApp etc.), prepared daily, weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, semester, half yearly and yearly report by using Cloud platform. Support in project report writing on MHPSS issues including case management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ At least 5 years of experience in Social development sector. Female is preferable.
∎ Have solid working experience with child protection sectors.
∎ Skills on documentation both Bangle and English.
∎ Work experience with adolescent and youth, and community development at displaced community will give priority in selection process
∎ Have valid driving license and able to drive practically.
∎ Capacity to deal with various media personnel (Press, electronic media etc.) is essential
∎ Willing to stay at working such as hard-to-reach area
∎ Good writing and speaking skill in English and Bangla.
∎ Must have computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Presentation.
∎ Education qualification and age is flexible for more experienced person in development field in project management.
∎ Tenure of Services Contract: 3 (Three) months' probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till project's lifetime.

Salary:
∎ Gross : Taka 37,500/=

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 2 days weekend
∎ Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per 'Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy' of Breaking the Silence.
∎ maintain close relationship with local government and other stakeholder.
∎ Field Visit: 75% Field visit & 25% office work.
