Responsibilities & Context:
∎ In collaboration and under the direction of Head of Operations- Field/Medical Coordinator/ Clinic In-Charge, the MHPSS and GBV focal point will:
∎ Develop monthly work plan towards accomplishment of the AWP and monitor the plan accordingly.
∎ Set program strategies and a work plan, in coordination with concern managers, to meet program goals and to determine operational needs.
∎ The MHPSS Officer is overall responsible for the appropriateness and quality of MHPSS inventions at her jurisdictions.
∎ Working closely with the other sectors to ensure smooth running of mental health programs and providing support to the health and GBV programming activities.
∎ Work with the Clinic-in-charge/Field Coordinator to conduct a situational analysis in areas of operation to determine the best implementation strategy.
∎ Mentoring to MHPSS Team offering mental health and psychosocial support services,
∎ Work directly with communities of concern to identify MHPSS problems and to promote that they receive appropriate services and support.
∎ Support the development of strategies for community mobilization regarding MHPSS.
∎ Identify local partners and points of service and support for individuals in need of Mental Health and Psychosocial related assistance.
∎ Supports capacity building and hands-on support on MHPSS interventions to relevant protection units, particularly those for community-based protection, child protection and SGBV and their partners.
∎ Train GBV/Psychologist & Partner Counselor/Para Counselor/Case Worker to provide Mental Health & Psychosocial support as well as case management services.
∎ Provide technical and program management training for staff and volunteers.
∎ Together with the Clinic in Charge, establish a case management system.
∎ Ensure monthly and quarterly reports, on time and with accurate data.
∎ Coordinate with UN, government and NGO partners to ensure well-coordinated prevention and response activities
∎ Work with partners and community members to monitor and strengthen referral pathways
∎ Coordinate with other sector actors and working groups to ensure GBV integration
∎ Maintain coordination and positive working relationships with all projects of RTMI.
∎ Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the organization’s Code of Conduct
∎ Maintain confidentiality and uphold other principles in line with protection programming
∎ Attending Coordination meetings which are relevant to MHPSS program and communicate relevant information to the senior management team
∎ Know, understand, and comply with all the policies of RTM International including HR Policy, PSEA, Code of conduct and Workplace policy
