Educational Requirements:
∎ A minimum of Bachelor Degree in any subject with at least 2 years of practical work experience in WaSH/ Public Health Promotion and work experience in cox’s bazar preferable.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Be directly responsible for the hygiene promotion activities in Rohingya camp.
∎ Plan the weekly activities for his/her team and have them approved by his/her Manager
∎ Anticipate administrative & logistics issues (requests in advance, transport, communication means…)
∎ Recruit & train his/her Hygiene volunteer
∎ Define criteria and the system for the beneficiaries and vendors selection with the support of his manager and Norwegian Church Aid advisor
∎ Under the supervisor of the Manager, proceed to the selection of Hygiene Items with the participation of the community.
∎ Conduct the selection & training of the beneficiaries
∎ Assist Manager in assessment, verification, distribution and redemption processes of Hygiene Kit distribution
∎ Supervise and monitor each stage of activity. Ensure that standards and instructions given by his/her Manager, as well as Friendship/NCA are followed
∎ Ensure timely completion of tasks assigned by Manager
∎ Include the community at each step of the decision making process and ensure their access to the feedback mechanism
∎ Attends project meetings and share progress
∎ Weekly reporting on progress
∎ Maintains and updates project files including all relevant documents like reports, project updates, beneficiary lists, maps, photographs etc
∎ Provide support with compiling, editing and finalizing information material for including donor reports, case studies, and visual contents related to its activities
∎ Other duties as required in line with your skills, experience and role
∎ Undertakes any other tasks assigned by supervisor
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3-5 years’ experience in wash sector
∎ Knowledge and practical experience of Hygiene Promotion
∎ Capable of working geographically challenged areas
∎ Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadline(s)
∎ Good witting and speaking skill both in Bangla and English.
∎ Experience in local community and within an NGO context
∎ Proven ability to build capacity of partners/ stakeholders through formal trainings and informal job shadowing and mentoring
∎ Ability to monitor work of project-hired contractors
∎ Good interpersonal skills
∎ Must have cross-cultural sensitivity, problem solving and negotiation skills.
∎ Must have a genuine concern to help the Rohingya people
∎ Ability to cope and work under pressure.
∎ Ability to manage data effectively.
∎ Has strong knowledge about Hygiene kit distribution
