• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and conduct root cause analysis for non-conformities.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

A Merchandise, QC Officer for Handicrafts ensures that handicraft products meet quality standards by conducting inspections, monitoring production, resolving quality issues, maintaining inspection reports, and ensuring compliance with buyer specifications throughout the manufacturing process. Key responsibilities include performing AQL inspections, collaborating with factories and internal teams, and verifying that materials and finished goods align with established quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Inspection:

• Conduct thorough inspections of various handicraft products (e.g., bags, baskets, mats) made from natural materials like jute, hogla, and seagrass.
• Perform inline and final product inspections based on accepted quality levels (AQL) and specific buyer requirements.
• Monitor all stages of production, from raw material inspection to final product checks, to identify and resolve quality issues proactively.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with factory teams to address and rectify any quality concerns or deviations from established standards.
• Collaborate with merchandising and production teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Communicate quality-related concerns to senior management and provide actionable solutions.

Reporting & Compliance:

• Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports, documentation, and update internal systems.
• Ensure all handicraft products comply with buyer specifications, quality requirements, and industry best practices.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in the quality control process and implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated on new testing methods, quality standards, and buyer requirements for handicraft products.
