Job Context:
∎ REGATTA GROUP is a renowned outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment company with its Head office in Manchester, United Kingdom. We are looking for a knowledgeable, efficient and hard working Merchandiser at Bangladesh Liaison Office.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka, (partially have to visit factories all over Bangladesh in every month)
∎ Reporting to: Bulk Merchandising Manager (Regatta Xiamen Office, China)
∎ Be responsible for the on-time delivery of garments produced in Bangladesh, ensuring that the Regatta Group delivery targets are achieved.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintain all aspects of the critical path, in order that bulk production progresses in a timely manner, ensuring that the system is updated daily. Continuously monitoring and agreeing production schedules with our suppliers to ensure on time delivery.
∎ Work closely with the Fabric and QC teams within the Dhaka office, and update them with the latest production schedules to ensure approvals and inspections are scheduled accordingly.
∎ Be responsible for and ensure continuous liaison with the Xiamen office bulk merchandising teams, ensuring they are fully updated on their bulk orders status.
∎ Chase all nominated components from the suppliers to the garment manufacturers and resolve any delivery issues.
∎ Ensure all filing is kept up to date.
∎ Establish good relationships with suppliers when visiting factories for bulk progression, and always seek to resolve issues in an amicable and professional manner.
∎ Work with the UK and China offices on establishing a solid supplier strategy for Bangladesh. Source and develop new suitable suppliers as and when necessary for expansion of capacity or for new product categories.
∎ Work closely with the Social Compliance Officer in the Dhaka office to understand the Regatta supplier ethical trading policy which all suppliers- old and new- must comply with.
∎ Monitoring the progression of photo and salesman sample orders, chasing nominated components and items to be submitted for QC approval, where necessary.
∎ To undertake such tasks and duties as may reasonably be requested by your manager or other members of the Management team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2/3 years of experience in bulk merchandising with a reputed brand or buying office.
∎ Candidate should have knowledge in product, garments production, factory capacity, productivity & capability analysis. Also, should have good knowledge about trims & fabrics.
∎ Candidate should be experience of liaising with various suppliers in Bangladesh & China to agree and monitor production schedules and resolve issues immediately.
∎ Computer literacy. &Good in English language skill.
