Job Context:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Participate in the planning, training and supervision of Mental Health activities, in close collaboration with the Mental Health activity manager and other medical team members, to ensure an efficient and effective implementation of the resources needed while maintaining high levels of quality in Mental Health MSF programs and activities.
∎ Supervise the daily mental health activities and patient support according to MSF protocols and standards in order to provide the most appropriate support for clients with psycho social needs
∎ Liaise with the other MSF team members of the project.
∎ Oversee the administrative processes associated with mental health and social work activities
∎ When needed, give psychological support to patients according to MSF protocols to improve mental health conditions of patients and enhance their functionality.
∎ Compile the data and statistics linked with Mental Health and Social Work activities and report to the MH activity manager on a monthly basis
∎ Provide support to the psycho-social team in the setting up of psycho-social support groups within the community
∎ Ensure the patient's related information is kept confidential
∎ Assist in the development and training of Community Health Workers within the project.
∎ To supervise and provide support to the daily activities with regards to patient care provided by the counselors, psychologists and community educators within the project
∎ To facilitate and provide psycho-social training workshops to the mental health team based on assessed needs in collaboration with MHAM
∎ To provide regular reports and statistical data on the MH activtities with the support of MHAM
∎ To supervise psycho-social support group interventions implemented in the project and to co-facilitate on an as needs basis
∎ To participate and create a network channel with the MHAM with other MH actors for cross referrals
∎ To support the strategies for the Mental Health and Psycho-social activities according to the objectives of the project
∎ To develop new resources and materials for the psycho- social and community activities with the support of MHAM
∎ To implement the patient flow between MH and different departments (OPD, Maternity, Psychiatric) in each PHC
∎ To timely collect the data(line sheet ) from each PHC and submit to MHAM
∎ To conduct regular team meetings, case discussions and submit supervision record sheets of MH staff in each PHC
∎ To ensure that all the logistic material ( soap,stationary, data collecting forms etc..) is available in the MH department.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 27 years
∎ Experience: Essential 2 years in the provision of individual & group counseling support within the context of community-based interventions
∎ Languages: English and Bangla language essential, Chittagong dialect desirable.
∎ Knowledge: Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
∎ Competencies : People Management., Commitment, Flexibility, Results,Teamwork.
