Job Context:
∎ Under the direct supervision of the MHPSS Technical Advisor, the MHPSS Trainer provides training and supervision to project teams to ensure the overall quality of MHPSS interventions and activities implemented by HI in Cox`s Bazar District (in refugees camps, makeshift camps and host communities). Report to: MHPSS Technical Advisor.
∎ Main internal interfaces
∎ 1.Reports to MHPSS Technical Advisor and MHPSS STO
∎ 2.Close functional links with other STO`s, TAs (Protection, Rehabilitation etc)
∎ 3.Close functional links with MHPSS officers working in the various projects
∎ 4.Close functional links with Community Volunteers and host community lay counsellors
∎ 5.Functional links with non-MHPSS field staff members (Protection officers, Rehabilitation Officers and Assistants, Nurses, Social Workers, Inclusion Officers etc.).
∎ Main external interfaces
∎ 1.I/NGOs working in the area, especially on MHPSS
∎ 2.Expert professional networks and task forces in Cox`s district


Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1.Technical support
∎ ACTIVITIES:
∎ Holding and supporting the process of recruitment of the volunteers for para-counselor position
∎ Training (technical and on the job training) volunteer staff on para-counselor module
∎ Supervision of implementation of para-counselors
∎ Working to build the capacity of PSS Officers to ensure continues supervision for para-counselors
∎ Training (technical and on the job training) volunteer staff on Peer to Peer Module
∎ Supervision of implementation of Peer to Peer Module
∎ Work closely with MHPSS STO in logistical needs for implementation of Peer to Peer Module
∎ Working closely with MHPSS TA to create trainings for all related staff on related modules
∎ Training of MHPSS Officer from various teams
∎ On the job training for MHPSS Officers in various sites
∎ Field supervision of MHPSS Officers in implementation of interventions trained on
∎ Training non-MHPSS specific staff from various teams on MHPSS concepts
∎ Working closely with MHPSS TA to create guiding documents and tools for implementation of interventions and group activities
∎ Working on translation of tools created, if translated by others checking the translation for technical aspect
∎ Holding regular meetings with MHPSS staff to work on challenges and barriers of implementation
∎ Working with MHPSS TA and STO to find ways to overcome barriers in implementation
∎ Setting regular meetings with other TAs and STOs to find ways to create joint activities
∎ PROGRAMME STRATEGY:
∎ Participate, upon request of your line manager, to needs assessments
∎ Provide inputs and propose relevant interventions falling within HI's scope of intervention or in coordination with other key MHPSS actors (Save the Children, MSF, ACF, UNHCR, and local organizations)
∎ COORDINATION & NETWORKING
∎ Coordinating with other actors working with Peer to Peer Module with the support of MHPSS TA
∎ REPORTING & REPRESENTATION
∎ Upon request, contribute to the monthly situation report (SITREP) by providing relevant data related to your position;
∎ Upon request, participate in the Technical Unit coordination meetings and workshops
∎ Report on a regular basis on your activities to your line manager (field visit reports, coordination meeting, workshop, meeting minutes, etc.)

∎ At least, 1 year experience providing trainings and supervision in related field

∎ Good communication skills in English, Bangla and Chittagonian/Rohingyia languages
∎ Availability to travel to remote areas and spend time at the field level

∎ Computer knowledge (MS office package- both in English and Bangla)
