Experience:
BSc/Diploma in Medical Technology (lab) under State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh or from any Government approved organization.
The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Hospital Laboratory , Operating all basic lab equipment and pathological test for Primary health Care (PHC), Operating Biochemical and Hematological Analyzer
Minimum 01 year of experience in a pathological laboratory in a health care facility
Previous experience in working in the urban set-up and knowledge of urban lifestyle will be an advantage
Must have skills in using smartphones, apps.
Should have to stay locally at close to the respective upazila health complex
Should have the capability of interpersonal communication skills
Ensure confidentiality of all the information acquired during performing work-related tasks, especially patient`s information
Working experience in public health facilities under World Bank supported Health and Gender Support Program will be preferred

Project Name: ‘Inclusive Services and Opportunities for Host Communities and Displaced Rohingya Population (ISO), a project funded by the Government of Bangladesh and the World Bank’
Reportable to: UH&FPO - Upazila Health Complex at Upazila level
Accountable to: As an appointing authority, you will be accountable to PHD for legal and disciplinary procedures for which PHD will review your performances periodically. Team Leader of this project and senior officials will represent PHD.
Monitoring & Technical Assistants: PHD in collaboration with UNICEF will deploy a group of staff for round-the-clock monitoring and technical support. This may include spot check, review of performance reports and assessing technical competency.
Work station: Upazila Health Complexes (UHCs) of Kutubdia, Moheshkhali, Hatiya and Swandip
Job Context:
Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is a national development organization in Bangladesh that has been working in the public health sector over 35 years and currently implementing different projects around the country. PHD intends to hire eight competent ‘Medical Technologist, Laboratory’ for proposed Health System Strengthening by mitigating critical Human Resource gaps in hard-to-reach areas in Bangladesh, in Moheshkhali (Cox’s Bazar), Kutubdia (Cox’s Bazar), Hatiya (Noakhali), Swandip (Chattogram).
Job objective:
To lead operational activities under Inclusive Services and Opportunities for Host Communities and Displaced Rohingya Population (ISO), a project funded by the Government of Bangladesh and the World Bank is to manage investments primarily at 4 hard-to-reach Upazilas level of care towards the strengthening of Health and Nutrition services. As a part of human resource support, PHD and UNICEF propose to provide and strengthen facility services with quality pathological test in (Kutubdia, Moheshkhali, Hatiya and Swandip) Upazila Health Complex.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct all available pathological test for the patients as prescribed by Consultants/General Physician (GP).
Carrying out day to day regular & emergency lab procedures. Communicate with Consultants/GPs for apprising any abnormal lab findings.
Documentation of all lab activities including test findings in proper register/system. [Necessary training will be provided in this regard]
Ensure stock and replenishment of all related reagents & accessories and logistics for running the Laboratory. Review stock & initiate timely requisition for laboratory activities
Ensure care & maintenance of all the lab instruments & equipment including regular required calibration.
Keep service records and assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports (time bound ESS Performance Reporting, Accident/Incident Reporting), including those required for donor and government reporting other requests for information as required.
Should have willingness to receive awareness trainings related to ESS, CFM, PSEA and other applicable for the project
Assist conducting spot check, ESS monitoring by the auditor, UNICEF or donor
Take part actively during the missions conducted by UNICEF or donor
Support ESS focal to fulfill UNICEF and donor requirement
Protect patients, technicians and lab by adhering to infection-control protocols.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
He/she will comply the waste disposal protocols especially for sharps and biological products.
Capacity building by enhancing pathological knowledge through participating in different training programs, workshop and meeting.
Perform such other relevant duties assign by the UHFPO, RMO, Consultant, Medical Officer.
Maintain functional relation with and accountability to the UH&FPO and GPs for administrative and technical purpose respectively.
Any other assignment given by PHD management
