Job Context:
∎ Research, Training and Management (RTM) International NGO working in the Cox`s Bazar to implement different projects supported by Government of Bangladesh, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF and others development partners. To provide Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services in different location RTM requires to fill up some vacancies in different positions .
∎ Employment requirement and areas
∎ RTM international requires Medical Officers for the disciplines of Obstetric and Gynae, SRH and Medicine etc.
∎ Candidates with knowledge and skills in SRH, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General medicine, Surgery will be preferred.
∎ Candidate with higher degree and experience in relevant disciplines may apply for higher position
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Outpatient Department (OPD), diagnosing illnesses, prescribing treatments, and managing chronic conditions.
∎ Conduct thorough medical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop personalized treatment plans for patients, ensuring high-quality healthcare services.
∎ Provide counselling and support to patients regarding sexual and reproductive health issues,
∎ Family planning, and preventive healthcare measures.
∎ Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and counsellors, to coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up services.
∎ Medical officer Obs. & Gynae will provide obstetric and gynecological services including ANC, Safe delivery (BEmONC), PNC services, new born care and other components of SRH services at upazila level.
∎ Provide guidance and supervise field based technical staffs (Doctors/ Midwifes /Paramedics, etc.) and provide need-based support and technical assistance (TA)/mentoring support.
∎ Organize Continuous Medical Education (CME) for the doctors, midwives, medical assistants and paramedics working with RTM International.
∎ Collaborate with the management to plan and implement SRH and OPD services, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimal patient care
∎ Ensure the quality of services through all the facilities where RTM International is implementing SRH services with financial and technical support from UNFPA and others .
∎ Work in coordination with the RTM Dhaka based Technical Officer and the focal (technical) persons of UNFPA , UNHCR and other donors in Cox's Bazar.
∎ Participate in on-call duties, responding to emergencies and providing immediate medical intervention as needed.
∎ Engage in community outreach programs, providing educational sessions on women's health, family planning, and preventive care.
∎ Collaborate with the management team to implement quality improvement initiatives and enhance patient satisfaction.
∎ Any other responsibility assigned by the authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 1-year experience in the related field-
∎ The following capabilities are mandatory:
∎ Experienced in Ultrasound.
∎ Good communication skills in both English and Bangla.
